Rushing is crazy. It's one party after another with tons of free food and alcohol. Not to mention hot guys everywhere. I could get used to this.

Apparently pledging isn't as fun, though. And a lot of the guys either talk only about girls and partying, or subjects I don't know anything about -- usually whatever their major is (there's a lot more philosophy majors than I'd ever expect in fraternities). And it just gets painful once they ask me anything about myself.

Classes are picking up and it's only the third day, so I'm steadying myself for a stressful fall. I've got homework -- homework; it's such a weird thing to say. I don't mind it, though. I used to read up on this stuff for fun, now I'm actually doing it for a reason. Harder than googling an article or two, but nothing I can't handle. <s>Yet</s>.

I dyed my hair. I went with blue and black highlights; so far so good. No one shouting porn quotes at me or anything. I think I did a pretty good job myself, though maybe I should've taken that Ino girl's help. The highlights are kind of messed up underneath, but it's not like anyone's going to see that.

Gonna get back to studying. Pool party in a half hour.

((OOC: Hair looks kinda like this with more obvious black streaks through it.))

I'm trying to play catch-up with my math and biology knowledge in the meantime. College is such a foreign concept ... I have no idea what to expect. Still over a month away, though. I'm impatient for it to start already.

I was pulled over by a cop for speeding for the first time today. I almost ran from him before I remembered <s>I'm legal now</s> I have a license and the car is in my name. I got out of the ticket, though, because he recognized me. I guess a lot of people around here at least know of FGI and a few of the actors/actresses because it's such a big company. Or he's just a perv.

He said he stumbled on my website. It must be the one Deidara put up. I'd wondered how it was doing, if it's making any money or not. He said he wants more posters.

Itachi - Naruto's whole seahorse incident made him a little knowledgeable about saltwater tanks (since he read a bit about it online before purchasing some books for him), and after some thought -- and the limited knowledge that Itachi likes the ocean -- Sasuke decided to get him a a tropical fish aquarium, deciding that Itachi might like the meticulous and difficult task of keeping one. Unfortunately, it takes a long time to set one up. So, Sasuke got Madara to give Itachi a double to work tomorrow (the 23rd) so he can spend all day setting up this tank, putting it in Itachi's room for a surprise when he finally gets home. No fish can go into a saltwater tank until the pH, akalinity, ammonia, nitrate ETC of the water is ready (4-6 weeks) so Sasuke also bought Itachi a $300 gift card to whatever tropical fish seller is in the area so Itachi, when the tank is ready, can go pick out a few fish for himself. He'll also help Itachi through the weeks in doing water changes and stuff until Itachi is comfortable doing it himself. He really hopes he'll like this present, cause it was ultra expensive. xD

Madara - Got him a two-night stay here the weekend of January 8th, mostly because of the Nob Hill Spa (which he also paid for an all-inclusive massages). In addition to these, this and these in his room, he also arranged a poi dance for him on Saturday night as another surprise. This present was meant just for Madara for him to unwind and have some time alone, but of course he could bring anyone if he wanted. Also, this was arranged and paid for months ago; and while Sasuke wishes, at this point in time and where they are, that he could take it back and give him something a little less ... romantic, he's out of luck. So he's going to quietly hand him the envelope on Christmas and hope Madara just lets it go.

Izuna - A $50 dollar gift card to a very authentic local Japanese restaurant in Reno. No, I don't even know if one exists. Pretend it does, haha. Sasuke assumed Izuna might miss traditional Japanese cuisine, and even though Itachi is a good chef, nothing really matches people who have recipes handed down to them through families in Japan or whatever. He also doesn't know Izuna that well. :(

Naruto - Likewise being so wrapped up in Ita's present, and remembering Naruto's seahorse trouble (and pretty sure he never got another one), he bought him a complete saltwater aquarium kit in case he wants to try again. And, if not, he's got the gift receipt haha.

Sasori - Got him this because Sasori got him something. And he figures he's into poisons.

Tobi - Not really a Christmas present, but ... he does appreciate Tobi distracting him from all the Madara BS he's been going through, so he's giving him this that he found on the beach the night they met. Because he's got a serious fetish towards anything pertaining to water.

Anybody else, he either ignores you, doesn't like you, or forgot (Kisame lol). Sorry. :( If anyone is wondering how the hell Sasuke got the money to pay for this shit since he's just working a desk job now -- he's been a naughty boy. But he's giving it up after Christmas. No really!!

Yeah, this is what's occurring on the high end of this company. It's a wonder it hasn't gone under already.

It's exhausting, waking up at six in the morning. People actually do this on a daily basis? There's something absurdly wrong with waking up before the sun has even fully risen. I hate sunrises, anyway. It just emphasizes the long day ahead. Give me a sunset anyday. Nothing exciting happens until nighttime.

I know I'm complaining a lot, but it's not so bad. <s>Beats what I did before.</s>

Paperwork calls. <lj:music>Godsmack - I Fucking Hate You</lj:music>

When you feel like your life is never going to change because it's an impossibility, do you try to accept it and move on? Distract yourself? Find something else to manage the fact it will always be the same? It's only ... what's the word ... theoretical, I want to know. I've read and heard about plenty of people stuck in their life, and the majority of them never get out of it. So I wonder what goes on in their heads. If they just pretend to be content, or really fool themselves. Or if they just accept that this is their fate and that they have to endure.

I like that word. Endure. English isn't the most elegant language, but it has some good words.

Mr. Senju, I want to come in and stay at the Angel's Hell for as long as I'm allowed. I know I'm not scheduled straight through the weeks like that, but I'd prefer it at the moment.

This place is too big.
