An open letter to our dear Axe; (and management, since they're pulling your strings)

You need to lighten up. I'm sure you'll take great offense to this letter, but I just want to point out some things.

19, 20, 24, 24, 24, 25, 27. That makes the average age of our starting players, including yourself, 23.3.

Just some other tidbits I'd like to point out and request information on:

Just how many times have we lost because of what was printed in the Tattler or other rags?

How effected would you say our actual playing is by rumors spread or attention given to us?

Would you rather have a team rife with marital discord and pregnancies? Or would you instead care to have a team full of coups for the captaincy, drama and fascinating infighting? Or maybe you'd like to stick with the young and rambunctious team, that although is rowdy, we remain hungry and eager to play and learn. Or maybe you'd like to throw out the team that you have because shockingly, they get along really, really well, work together amazingly and have a captain that refuses to lighten up and join us.

If you, or the management are thinking that threatening us with losing our jobs is going to have a good outcome, I would think again. I was picked up to play for the Kestrels in Hogwarts. And many other teams, I have to point out. I was asked to play. Not the other way around, but I picked the Kestrels.

I would ask you to look at United, when they were our age, young and in the tattler all of the time. I know for a fact that they were just as wild and out there as us. So why should we have our jobs threatened and be chastised not only for bringing publicity to our team, but it being a very well thought out team building exercise?

Just because we have fun doesn't mean we don't take our jobs, winning and this game seriously. Above all else, none of this team has ever been about the bottom line, we're too young and still love playing too much to make it about that. Until you and the management make it that.

So why are some boobies being shown to boys and women being taken on dates such a big deal?

I play quidditch to play quidditch, not for any other reason and I'm pretty sure the rest of the team feels that way. That's why we all get along so well.

We've still got like two weeks before school starts and it's taking forever.

So I propose a friendly quidditch match! The Q.U.A.I.L. fields are open during the day, so long as you have permission to use them and since I help out with the league, I think I can get us some!

So what do you think? No houses, just exhibition. Merry, you up to find out just how well your skills stack up to mine?

Of course, non-house players are very welcome too. Cheerleaders as well, might as well turn it into a big thing!

Zoey loves quidditch and even though she’s been on the reserves for the past few years, she’s okay with that. Everyone has to start somewhere. In her family, she’s used to having to wait and patience nearly always pays off. Zoey is a fraternal triplet, the oldest of them all. Her sister Zivah is a Gryffindor and Zebulon their brother, is a Slytherin. Zoey came out first, with Zebulon following an hour later and Zivah taking her sweet time and following six hours after that. And so it has been since. Zoey is eager and charismatic, not afraid to take the lead in most situations. She’s rarely tardy and a hard worker. It was a wander she was sorted into Ravenclaw and not Hufflepuff, but she’s incredibly curious about the world and spends her time thinking of how things work and how to make them better. If she didn’t love quidditch so much, Zoey would be an innovator or work in research and development. She’s very open minded and definitely an ‘outside-the-box’ thinker. Zoey has her own moral code and applies it consistently. Her morals and ethics may not always be in line with societal norms (she believes there are certain circumstances of disobeying the law and going against popular notions) but she does know how to argue her way out of a tight spot. It may come off as snobbish, but really, if you don’t have anything better to say, why say it at all. H I S T O R Y Amanda Moran, nee O'Riley is a mediwitch at St. Mungos. She met Laurent Moran at a quidditch match and nine months later out came triplets. They married sometime in the interim but Amanda's family didn't take her getting pregnant that well. The O'Riley's are a strictly Catholic (yet half-blooded) family and didn't approve of Laurent or their swift romance. The Morans, a muggle family, accepted Amanda into their arms. Laurent is a writer for The Daily Prophet and has brought the kids to work over the years. Zoey, Zebulon and Zivah love their half-muggle, half-wizarding life and have been always been very active and noisy. It hasn’t always been that easy, caring for triplets and then having another child five years later, Laurent and Amanda try to keep things as normal as possible. The boys share one room and the girls the other and have decided they don’t need more room, since all the kids will be at Hogwarts this year.
