WHO: Gideon and Gleny Prewett
WHAT: bein cute!
WHERE: Their bedroom, Tuesday September 1.
STATUS: Finished Log

Gideon sat on the end of the bed, trying to be as quiet as possible as he tugged his boots on. Gleny had just gone in to check on Tristan and make sure everything was alright with him, so Gideon thought it was the best time to try and sneak out without getting distracted again. It wasn't really sneaking, he and Fabian had duty (it was the first of September and there had been rumours that something big was going to happen, so it just fit the bill that the Order was on high alert) and Gideon was just trying to arrive on time to meet his brother.

He looked up from tying his boots and smiled sheepishly at Gleny. "How's he? Still sleeping hopefully?" Standing, Gideon grabbed his shirt off the end of the bed and started turning it over in his hands as he tried to figure out if it was inside-out or not. "It's like six am, that kid needs to learn that sleeping in is for big kids," Gideon joked with a slight smile.

Today was beginning to feel like a good day.

Already, things were going quite nicely. Tristan had completely slept through the night with no sign of waking up anytime soon, Gideon had pleasantly surprised her with early morning sex to wake up to, and she didn't have to go into work today! All this before seven! Yes, very good, and if she could somehow cook dinner before eight and still have it be tasty, then that would just be the icing on the cake. Unfortunately she knew that wouldn't happen, but she would take what she got most happily at this point.

Gleny gave a hazy smile as she looked at her husband from the door. "Yes," she sighed, pushing the sleeves of her (Gideon's) shirt up as she spoke. Though, her smile faltered (only a second), as she noticed he was preparing to leave.

No, no, she could not have any of that right now.

Pushing off from the doorframe, Gleny wasted no time squishing herself in between his legs to sit on his lap. "He wants his parents to be happy," she hummed, curling her fingers around his shirt with one hand to tug it away, and using her other hand other to wrap it around his neck.

Chuckling, Gideon let Gleny push him back onto the bed - there was plenty of time for rushing out the door later. How was he supposed to deny his beautiful and loving wife a few more minutes of this? So what if he was a house-husband now, he didn't actually mind so much. There were times (listening to the pre-season broadcasts and reading about the rookie antics) that Gideon really wished he was headed back onto the field, but this was certainly not one of them. It was true, spending more time with his family and getting loads of one-on-one time with Tristan were benefits, and certainly a good trade off for not playing quidditch.

"Now, then what do we have here," Gideon said, biting his lip and raising his eyebrows teasingly, wrapping one arm securely around Gleny's waist while the other tugged back on the shirt. They didn't have any time to get undressed again, but he could tease her a little bit about it. Plus, patrolling wouldn't take too terribly long, he'd be back before either of them realised the time had gone past. "His daddy is very happy, today is a wonderful day and you look absolutely beautiful. Have I told you how much I love you, yet today?"

Practically purring with pleasure, Gleny spread her fingers wide as she pushed on Gideon's chest with her free hand. A sly grin formed on her face as she kept her grip on his shirt tight, trying her best to hold it behind her back. Her plan wasn't going to work at all, because once Gideon decided something, it was decided--- but she could still give him her best effort to deter him.

She had no idea why she wanted this shirt back, though, he looked much better without one.

"Nope, I don't think you have," she uttered lightly, lowering herself down to brush her lips against his jawline. Her mouth trailed down side of his neck until she simply buried her face in the crook of his shoulder. Despite how her hair felt as if it was going every which way, and she was now practically laying directly on top of him, Gleny had never felt more comfortable. He smelled so good.

"Why don't you tell me?" she asked in a raw tone, finally moving her face to lay it on his shoulder instead. Her other hand with his shirt was still awkwardly sticking out as far as it could go away from Gideon, but that didn't seem to be ruining the moment at all. Gleny exhaled, her fingers playing on his chest.

Gideon laughed openly, letting Gleny win with the shirt, but kept pawing at it as he fell back on the bed. He could tease just as much as she could. "What a terrible, horrible husband I am," he said, sounding a little scandalized on his own behalf. He was pretty sure he'd made it a point to show Gleny how much he loved her earlier, but it couldn't hurt to actually tell her. Gideon took a sharp breath as she started kissing his jaw and neck.

"Um, well, I kinda like your hair, and you do have some pretty eyes and oh, you cook," he said, pretending to be seventeen and a smart ass again. Those were certainly things that Gideon didn't mind about Gleny, but they certainly weren't why he loved her. With his free hand (no longer grabbing for the shirt, he would wait until she was caught off guard to get that back) he started trailing his fingers down her forearm. "Well, I love the way you say good morning to me, every morning. I love your spirit and energy, even when I'm trying to read. I love that you're still the same woman I fell in love with, that we've grown into that love together. I love that you're my wife. I love it when you scrunch your nose just before Tristan starts to cry, because he does the exact same thing. Do you want me to keep going, because I'm pretty sure I could bore you to death with this."

Her head picked up as he spoke, and Gleny's hand moved to give her chin a resting place. She wasn't actually expecting a legitimate answer, she knew how much he loved her (or at least she knew how much she loved him, and simply assumed they were on the same level!), so when Gideon did start listing off, Gleny was more than pleasantly surprised. And despite knowing how they felt about each other, with Gideon's every word, Gleny felt her heart begin to fill so much that it threatening to burst on the spot. Was it wrong that hearing this from him almost felt like a guilty pleasure? It sounded so much better when he said it out loud...

Regardless that she wanted him to continue for days and days, Gleny shook her head. That was definitely enough to tide her over until he got back. Well played, Prewett, very well played. "I love you," Gleny replied simply, her chin wobbling slightly as she spoke. She was ridiculous, she knew, but he was just so good at making her melt, darn it!

With a content sigh, Gleny pushed her face up toward his and gently began to press her lips against his every few seconds. "I--- love--- you," she repeated in between breaths, smiling down at him.

Gideon bit his lip and blushed a little at Gleny's wibbly statement. She was just way too cute like that. He pinched her chin between his thumb and knuckle and jiggled it a little. Gleny's reaction to him speaking made him grin a little wider so let it go so he could receive her kisses. He kissed her back eagerly and when she finished he took the chance to roll over on top of her and kiss her back. "Love-- you-- too," he said, repeating her actions as a distraction, slowly grabbing his shirt back from her. When he had the shirt, Gideon kissed Gleny again, hard and then pulled away.

While she was taken off guard, Gideon took the time to pull his shirt over his head, "Sorry baby, but I've really got to go," he said with a sheepish smile as he tucked it in sloppily, "If I'm late that means Fabian is alone. I'll only be gone a couple hours, I promise. How tough can a bunch of school students be?"
