Oh Christ, Andre was crying. She must've almost died or some shit like that. "Er---well...you didn't."
She was terrible at being sympathetic. The only time she'd ever really been moved by anything were during her nine--eight months of pregnancy. See, even Lee knew that she couldn't take being hormonal and weepy, and had decided to come early on her. Her good boy. Adelaide pushed her elbows into the matches, groaning at how much she ached, but it was actually a good feeling to be out of her lying position. Her eyes drifted toward the clock, which also had the date on the bottom, and she let out a curse.
"Fuck! I've been out for--ages!" she moaned, kissing Andre again. To reassure herself that she was awake, to reassure him that she was awake, but mostly to taste his lips again--it was starting to dawn on her that she may have never had the chance. The memories were becoming more vivid now, and the ceiling falling down on her was nearly causing the same pain to her heart again----
Adelaide slowly lifted her weak arms to around Andre's neck and she held him to her as tightly as she could. It felt like she had a vice grip on him, the way her arms were shaking, but she knew her strength wasn't there. "I'm okay!"
