「∂arien → ∂obbs」 ([info]littled) wrote in [info]valesco,
Darien thought of slumping back into the couch, relieving his body from the turmoil of having to support himself as he took in this news, but there was a large part of him that couldn't. Much of him wanted to be standing, to be ready to run out the door at any moment and find whoever had done this to his sister and beat the ever-loving shit out of him. Even if it didn't make things go away, it would certainly make him feel a little better about everything.

But---that was another question. Derek hadn't mentioned a single word about who had done it, or what had happened to them. Was he even still out there? Darien felt like he would have heard about this sooner if someone had been taken into custody, being that he worked around those cases every day. He was sure that mention of his bloody twin sister's attacker being brought to justice wouldn't have slipped past during an afternoon nap at his desk.

So that only meant that whoever it was must still be lurking around, living their disgraceful life with a shit-eating grin on their face right at that very moment. The scalding heat that rushed through his entire body at that one thought was absolutely overwhelming.

"Then what the fuck are we doing standing here?" Darien snapped, and this time maybe his anger was at Derek. Hadn't he done anything about this other than take her in? "There's got to be evidence, I mean---let's find and hex this son of a bitch into next week!"
