He sent her a very rare smile, and sat down once again after Narcissa had taken her seat. Yes, Narcissa was one of the very few (and by very few, probably the only) that Rabastan honestly believed he adored. He could probably never say that out loud, as it sounded dreadfully silly to say that you adored someone, but he simply could not find a thing wrong with this woman. Maybe the fact that she hadn't been the one to marry his brother, but that clearly was not Narcissa's fault.
Though, it did leave him with the crazy Black sister to deal with, but again, one could not control birth order as he'd learned at a very young age.
"I've been better, I must admit," Rabastan said with a small nod, leaning back into the chair for a moment, looking thoughtful. The fiasco with Sirius Black had completely ruined the past few weeks, what with the Dark Lord punishing him for it as often as he could. Rabastan's job in the archives of the Department of Mysteries at least let him be alone for long hours, to deal with the pain.
"Work has been a complete hassle, I deal with idiots all day," he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. Narcissa could take that as his actual job or his death eater duties, both would work. "And how are you, Narcissa? I can barely catch a word from Lucius these days.."
