It's been a while, but I've finally returned home for good. When Alecto told me we were heading out for supplies, I wasn't expecting her to drag me out of the bloody country. It turned into something of an expedition, hopping from one city to the next.
It was a nice change, not being tied down to one place. Unfortunately everything had to come to an end, and here we are, back in Knockturn Alley.
I'm learning that the longer you're out of work, the harder it is to get back into the swing of things. It's coming back to me, why we got away from all of this for as long as we did. I'll miss the days of not having to deal with customers who demand things we don't have in supply, or items we've never carried. Of course me telling them to fuck off isn't good for business, so I'm forced to bite my tongue.

How heroic you all are.
Of course, it's a shame that one of you won't be able to receive the award directly. How...sad. I do hope it was worth all the trouble.

Huh. It's been 3 months since I've written in this bloody journal. It could be because I have nothing new to say. Things have been pretty static. It's really quite obnoxious. Hopefully things will get a bit more interesting soon. |
