in character.
FULL NAME:Terrence Geoffrey Boot
AGE/BIRTHDATE:March 3rd 1980
HOUSE AND YEAR:Ravenclaw, 7th year
BLOODLINE:Muggle-born
WAND:11 2/3", Oak, Veela
SEXUALITY:Heterosexual

PERSONALITY:Of the Ravenclaw boys Terry would be the mysterious one, laid-back with an easy smile on his face, but never one to open up about anything. Terry comes from a large family of boys where talking about your feelings isn't exactly on the days to-do list. He's a great shoulder to cry on whenever someone else needs to get something off their chest, but otherwise? Don't expect him to tell you his life's story. Loyal, and always ready to do what's right, Terry makes an excellent friend, especially since his bullshit tolerance is so low that he wont lie to you to make you feel better. In initially meeting Terry he gets the quiet studious Ravenclaw stereotype a lot, which only makes him smirk his secretive smirk and raise his eyebrows. Terry is a very opinionated individual, but his opinions will come from left field. He'll be in a group of people who are arguing and after a few moments he'll deliver the perfect view, argument done and over with and you'll be left blinking after him. As the token mysterious bloke of the Ravenclaw trio, Terry gets the bad boy image the girls swoon over, which he finds completely ridiculous as he has an incredible moral compass and is too involved in his studies to cause any problems. This doesn't mean he hasn't pulled a few pranks in the past, being Michael Corner's best mate does have it's obligations.

Terry is a nice guy, he just doesn't go around with the energy level of a nine year-old. He is always wearing an easy grin or a little smirk. He finds amusement in nearly everything, which gives him a good sense of humour-albeit a wry and sarcastic one. He isn't an idealist, he is very much a realist and will always do the pratical thing. He has a patience which is well served as a Ravenclaw, logically and analytically minded he will actually sit down and work things out instead of giving up early on.He takes his studies seriously, and after the fight with Voldemort his goals have changed to the Auror field and he needs the marks for that. Terry as a curious guy, enjoys the pursuit of knowledge, and with a penchant for challenges he coudl easily end up working in the Department of Mysteries.

Terry is the quintissential James Dean, cool, collected, and with such an anonymity that it drives most people insane. As the guy who isn't outright to assert his opinion he is a very observant individual. He has that soul piercing look down, and is never not using it. He has quite the aura about him, and nobody dismisses him. He will generally always do what's right, and most often do it in such a way to piss someone off. He likes causing conflicts and is always ready to tease. He isn't afraid to do what is necessary even under the worse circumstances, he is tenacious if anything.

HISTORY:
Geoffrey Boot met Elaine Connor at a Heart disease conference in London in the early 70's. Elaine who was a nurse, had opted to go to the conference in her employer's place and happened to choose the seat next to Pharmacist Geoffrey during a talk on Heart valves. Geoffrey was an incorrigible flirt, while Elaine was a skeptical feminist and even still the two hit it off the minute Geoffrey informed her that she looked like his future wife. A year later they were married and had their first child, Henry, who was soon followed by 3 more boys: Jonathon,Terry, and the youngest Michael. Being second from last Terry grew up fairly independant, not having the necessary responsibilities of Henry, 8 years his senior, and staying out of the squabbles between the youngest and second eldest. With such a male dominated family, Terry grew up rubbing dirt in his wounds, and walking off any sports injuries, all the while learning how to respect a woman from his mother would would go furious over the first indication of any chauvinism in her sons.

Growing up around muggle medecine, Terry's first desire was to be a doctor, which proved to be a good idea even at 10 years old as Terry was a natural with chemistry. When he received his Hogwarts letter, there was a round of skepticism, his father even going so far as to trying to find the scam it had come from. However, when owl upon owl arrived with the same letter for 3 weeks, his parents deicded it might be worth a shot to see what this was all about. It's safe to say that after seeing Diagon Aley they were convinced. Terry is a very confident person so he wasn't at all nervous on his first day at Hogwarts, he was too fascinated by everything to even fit uncertainty in. Getting sorted into Ravenclaw was a no brainer, and he found fast friends in Michael Corner and Anthony Goldstein who became his best mates. Terry was kept busy the first couple years, focused on his studies but dabelling in the duelling club (to which he got knocked around a bit. He laughs about it when it's mentioned)

Fifth year brought on Dumbledore's army, which Terry joined after hearing about it from Michael. There was no doubt that he was where he belonged when in the club, and he was rather impressed with Hermione Granger who he still to this day firmly believes should be in Ravenclaw. He also helped Harry fight off Malfoy and his cronies on the train the end of that year, now asserting himself as someone not to mess with. By sixth year Terry's involvement in school got even more intense, especially in Potions. While Potions was so much different from Muggle medicine, it still functioned the same, and for a time Terry believed he should be a Healer. However, Terry's ideas have shifted towards the auror field, or more in usins his talents in potions to help in the Auror field. Even still, it's another year to prove himself, and he plans to have fun.
