AU: Demons run when a good man goes to war.
Father was dead, but there was no time for the family to cry. Magneto was dead, but there was no time for the nation to grieve. The survival of their country was at risk.

So Giovanna walked into the room where her angel was sitting in conference with others, trying to keep Genosha as stable as concievable at this point.

"Sir," she said, formally. "Our allies have a large number of HYDRA and AIM operatives under arrest, but several of the leaders escaped and are rallying their forces...in Russia."

"Getting rid of a nuisance," the Admiral says as he flies through the air like some sort of battering ram.

Gio uses her temporary advantage over Arkady to crawl over, pull out her knife, and try to use it to pry open the exposed leg of his armor as he struggles to get up. Goons who reach their weapons near her get shocked in the face, and though it takes some work, Arkady himself gets that knife in the foot just as he's reaching to strike.

	The telegraphed blow helps, and Andrew is much stronger now. With an obvious grunt of pain and effort, he catches the flying battering ram out of mid-air, then uses all that momentum to fling him towards the remains of the wall. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Gio's standing over Arkady with both his faceplate and leg-guards pried off, blood, streaming from the side of her mouth, from her knife, and from his feet, and most of the HYDRA goons still conscious appearing to be in shock. "I think they're all still alive, mon ange!" She calls out with pride. "Probably!"

The Admiral didn't get where he is today by being stupid. One hulking brute and a madwoman with a knife should not be this kind of threat, and yet, this is happening. In the end, he's probably better off working from inside russian custody. Especially since it hasn't even had the decency to rain while he's been out here. "Fine." He puts his hands up.

	Part of Gio's a little less glad that worked, but she quickly calls the Winter Guard in, cautioning them that the medics might want to get working on Arkady and some of the footsoldiers. And in they come, with a very "We'll take it from here" attitude. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Giovanna certainly doesn't trust the Russians to be interested in justice for her father and Magneto. But she supposed no one wanted to be seen as pro-HYDRA.

She nods, and takes his arm, and doesn't show weakness in front of foreigners. But once they're alone on the plane back..., she cuddles against him a little. "I...suppose it's for the best, in some ways, that they got Father, too. I'm not sure if he could have gone on properly. He was... a little sensitive, you know." Giovanna's not about to call her father mentally ill.
