please list some charities you'd like to see the guys use in this auction, so we can get some ideas with things we may not have thought of before. the last time i had a character connected to a charity in a game it was RAINN and i somehow find that very inappropriate...

i think a lot depends on who your character is, what is important to them, and how okay they are with advertising that through a charity. but here are some good ones that are less represented in faux celeb and that i would like to see! (some of these were ripped from charitywatch.org and many are u.s. centric, my apologies)

family care international
elizabeth glaser pediatric aids foundation
susan g. komen for the cure
memorial sloan-kettering cancer center
dian fossey gorilla fund
guide dog foundation for the blind
national center for missing and exploited children
aclu
partnership for a drug-free america
ducks unlimited (someone please use this one, it's lulzy as well as a great charity that i've worked with)
keep america beautiful
diabetes action research and education fund
michael j. fox foundation for parkinson's research
national jewish health
national alliance to end homelessness
global hunger project
reading is fundamental
american foundation for suicide prevention
william j. clinton foundation
make-a-wish foundation
big brothers/big sisters of america

oh man it sounds like a really great organization! and this will prob out me, but i'm looking to find something associated with writing for my guy to represent. something like wonder writers, or like maybe even national novel writing month. because i think he'd want to represent something that encourages kids to be creative in his field

my girl would be all over someone who's charity was Aid Still Required or Artists for Peace and Justice.

Oxfam is popular. USA Harvest, RED, Soles4Souls, Blessings in a Backpack, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, clothes off our back, feeding america, not on our watch, The Art of Elysium, breast cancer care, global cool, unicef, best friends animal society, live earth, peta, stand up to cancer, youthaids, global green.
