Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
001; a first entry of sorts
I was going to write "testing, testing, is this thing on," but that's rather silly as this is merely a journal, yes?

I was going to write that my kneazle King Leopold III has been dragging in dead animals again as presents. While I appreciate the sentiment and want to scold him profusely, I don't want to break his little kneazle heart. But the goings on of my pet kneazle, as comically babyish as he is, doesn't exactly make for exciting journaling, yes?

I was going to write about the exciting developments my team and I have been working on in the field of both practical and experimental potionry, but I realized that the only person that would find that exciting is myself.

How about I settle for a humble request for someone to take me out to coffee? After all, it's been four years since I've last stayed here, and who knows what is good or not? And don't you dare tell me that coffee and tea is the same in every place.

My Kneazle doesn't do that, exactly, but he does make a habit of nesting in my robes so I can't wear them, and thus, leave the house in a respectable form of dress.

They're very demanding animals.

Does your's insist on fresh meat every single night and wakes you up at night because he can't decide whether he wants in or out?

Such a diva, I swear.

Well... not quite. But Vinny---you know Vinny, right?---and he do conspire against me in many ways, I'm fairly sure.

Welcome back, by the way.

Of course you're pretty.

ASK HER OUT. Tell her that you just discovered this great coffee place a little down the way from the ministry that you've been wanting to try. Her ENTRY is BEGGING for someone to ask her out!

Don't make me take off these wards.

Yes, but not when they've been severely depressed for more than a year, now. That's how you get diseases. Which you probably have and should get checked out.

I do remember Vinny! That's okay, my older brother conspires to get me to play D&D with him regularly. Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned that.

Thank you! I've missed home, but it's a bit strange being back after four years.

Oh, actually, I bought Dungeons & Dragons for my cousin. As a lark, but... I can't deny being forced into playing it once or twice. It's not a bad game.

I can imagine that. My mum's from Germany, and she gets twitchy to go back, but always hates it when she does. And then repeats the whole cycle over again. ---------------Is it a bit like that?

(Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

[info]devika

Try playing it for hours and hours! Then being forced to sit through a Star Trek marathon until I can think of some way out of it, like talking about shoes.

Something like that! I'm back because ..... I thought it would be lovely to be with my family again.

True, I can see how that would be painful. I don't see much in the way of television, though.

Yeah, family is good. I like family.?

I adore television, even though it's usually frowned up by a great many. Oh, BBC, how I've missed thee and your companionship, curing boring nights. Which is something I probably shouldn't have mentioned.
