In February of 1864 the followers of the dark wizard Giles Kemmler brought war to America in an attempt to rise to power. That June the followers of Kemmler managed to break through the defenses of the Washington Irving Academy and invade. Much of the school was destroyed in the battle, not to mention the destruction to the wizarding population. It was rebuilt after the war, and renamed, in an attempt to create something lasting from the time or turmoil as a symbol of progress and hope.
For the students of the WIA today, there doesn’t seem to be much of that progress anymore. The current headmistress is making life difficult for these kids, and seems to be out to eradicate all the joy of the high school experience. No groups larger than 8 can meet, no dances, and it looks like there are more awful changes on the horizon. Why would she do these things? Because it seems like it’s just for fun. The more insidious things are what worries some. Like who was she meeting so late at night? And why had those students gone missing? They are questions that some are still asking, and ones that probably should be answered soon...

 Willow Run Ranch is the hub of Boerne, Texas. Without the ranch as a source of employment, entertainment, and gossip, the town would be as deserted as the South Pole. Bought by two brothers in 2003, the place went from being a dump, to being a state-of-the-art, prize-winning stable. This game revolves around the lives of the people who live and work in Boerne. Located on Scribbld.com, the Crescent City Institute is open for another year of magical hijinks and mayhem. We need cheerleaders, Quodpot and Quidditch players, characters who aren't Caucasian, pureblood fanatics, bitches and hos, straight kids, gay kids, drama kings and queens, rebels, popular kids, investigators, jocks (PLEASE!), characters who could fill some wanted lines (Link to wanted characters here), scene kids, goths, preps, and everyone in between. This is only the beginning.
For many years, the Crescent City Institute of Magic has been one of the best schools for Witchcraft and Wizardry in the United States. Located in the culturally rich city of New Orleans, it has had its fair share of tragedy for such a praised and respected school. First was hurricane Katrina, which rocked New Orleans to its core, and the death of the headmaster as he helped the students evacuate.
This last school year proved to be dramatic, interesting, and terrifying for its students. Like any high school, CCI has had its fair share of the petty dramas caused by students along with the ups and downs of boarding school life. But there have been other, darker, things to worry about.
Last school year, students went missing and creatures never known before were been spotted and attacked students before being captured. There are activists out in the streets of New Orleans currently trying to alert Muggles to the presence of evil Witches and Wizards. There is also a perplexing epidemic of missing socks.
Now, with another school year beginning, no one can know for certain what lies in wait for the students of CCI. Only time will tell what will happen, but there is one thing for certain. It will be an adventure.
Crescent City Institute is looking for students to enroll in the 2011-2012 school year.

 Hello fellow journalers! It's that time of the year again, we're offering up 10 Permanent Accounts for $100 each. You can view this page for more information on what you can get from a permanent account. All proceeds will go into the server payments and hardware. In the coming weeks we're looking to do a code upgrade which will bring us to newer, more secure, and hopefully a quicker code-base. We expecting things to break so give us a couple days to iron things out and get things back to normal should things go funky. Other than that we don't have much else. We hope everyone is enjoying their summer (USA). It's roasting hot down here in TX but decent back home in VT. Wherever you are we hope you're staying safe and having fun! morgan & jimmy

Set in the city of Haven, a self-contained retirement community for fairy tale characters finished with their original story. It's the age old, oft asked question: what happens after happily ever after? In Haven, fairy tales and their brethren get to answer the question any way they please.
At present this is something of a catch all community for fairy tale characters. Most plots will be player generated, but overarching plots can be introduced at player request. |

Dresden Academy | Dresden Academy is a new model of magical education for young wizards and witches, hidden away from curious eyes in the beautiful Adirondacks of Upstate New York. Run by the Hulett family for as long as they've owned the town proper; the school is set to educate a new generation of talent.
There is an undercurrent of political shift at Dresden. Jillian and Irene Hulett have been quietly tussling for control of the school. Jillian, the current headmistress is entirely unaware of the machinations which her sister may launch to wrest her position from her. Add to this that the New York Association of Wizards has decided to cut Dresden Academy's funding for the 2011-2012 school year. At present our headmistress, Jillian is struggling to figure out what to cut in order to save money. She'll be trying to trick staff into retiring, debate cutting some elective classes, and consider minimizing the sports program (quodpot, she's looking at you).
Dresden Academy is a high school/university game for Original Characters set in the Harry Potter Universe. We're looking for players who like organic plots and can think outside of the sandbox. Played on scribbld. |

Mind-Blast.net is an RPG forum that caters for several different RPG Games at once. The idea of the forum is an emphasis on the roleplay itself rather than all the OOC bits and bobs. Members only need to apply to join the board itself rather than each individual game. Once their application has been approved they are free to join any game hosted here.
It is then up to the members to create a character, post a character profile and following the rules of each game. There are no set timelines in the games, and members are catergorised 'Roleplay Grades' which show other members how many times they are able to post each week. This is so that RPers can roleplay at a pace that suits them with others that post at a similar pace. In other words; roleplay how you want to.
This doesn't mean that there are no rules or guidelines here at Mind-Blast.net. The normal no powerplaying, god modding and other roleplaying ettiquette rules exist, and we maintain an intermediate to advanced level of writing. This means that Mind-Blast.net is not suitable for beginners. There will be a moderator per game to oversee the game, but otherwise the game is in the hands of the players themselves.
Currently there are three active games at M-B.net and more will be added in the future. Members can petition to have a Game added to M-B.net at any time. One thing you will come to notice about the Games here; they always feature original characters. Even if a game is set in a fandom universe canon characters are not accepted.
Dark Pretenses is an old game of mine that has reopened here on M-B.net. It is a supernatural/urban fantasy game set in the University of Reading, UK, and features original species and ideas.
Celestial Illusions is an game based in the Anita Blake universe created by Laurell K Hamilton, featuring original characters and plot.
Stonehythe is an epic fantasy game based in land seperated by war and past grudges.

 | {Welcome to the True Game} Within the lands of the True Game, humans have come to possess any combination of eleven different talents. Beguiling, elating, firestarting, flight, healing, moving, necromancy, reading, seeing, shapeshifting, and storing. People can have complete control over only one ability, or moderate levels of up to four. The world is rife with the talented but it's usually rare to find two of the exact same combinations of talents.
Here in the Sapphire Domain, multiple talents abound though few are known to have only beguiling as a talent. Not only is this domain know for its low number of beguilers, but for an amazing amounts of years of victory in battle and peace. In fact, the domain seems just a little too perfect. What could be being hidden within its borders?
The Sapphire Domain has been unscathed by games for the last ten years. Some say Willem is the most intelligent, tactical and all around best ruler the Sapphire Domain has ever had. Others wonder just what powers he holds that have kept him and his contingency from ever losing a battle. Whispers abound: is he hiding something? Is there a greater power than his? But the real question is, how much longer can his winning streak last?
