I think the post-trip buzz has finally worn off. Or it could be the fact that I got bumped into while I had a coffee in my hands and it spilled all down my front and it was hot and not comfortable. And resulted in a quick trip to the apothecary for some burn salve after a quick charm to dry off my clothing.

And Grundhook did nothing but glare at me the rest of the day because he's a crotchety asshole of a goblin he doesn't get it. I'm not sure much more could happen to make this day even worse, but I guess it's never a good thing to say something like that, eh?

An additional note to self: iced coffee is probably a better option from now on.

Goblins are very adept at sensing people's emotions! It is more likely that he didn't care about your pain and/or he found it amusing.

But that's brilliant that you get to work with such a wonderful group of individuals!

Well, I certainly didn't find the ache from the burn very amusing.

It's a learning experience; I feel so far behind some of my coworkers because I don't know a lick of gobbledygook, unlike some of my coworkers.

No, I don't imagine I would have either!

I am fluent in gobbledygook! My best mate's a goblin, his name is Gornuk and he's much more human-friendly than some of those at Gringotts. We could help you out!

Do you think it will help with my work interactions?

Absolutely! Especially because then you'll understand if they're talking about you!

Do you really think they talk about me?

Oh, I'm sure of it. Gornuk thought I was a bit of a whack-job for a while, but once I attempted to get to know him and the other goblins of his tribe he learned to appreciate my enthusiasm and work ethic!

Don't be discouraged by it, though, goblins don't have many reasons to trust wizards and witches. You've got to let them know that you can be trusted.

They trust me enough to put my life in danger just to bring them back gold and not steal any of it in the process.

See! That's a brilliant start!
