PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Drake was nod blessed with height, sadly. He stands, without his five inch boots, at about five feet seven inches in height. So when in his thick soled boots, he gets to somewhat loom over people at 6 feet. However, he tends to save his boots for shows only. In fact, most of his wardrobe is split into two groups- daily wear, and stuff he dons for shows.

During the day, while working, Drake wears baggy pants or shorts and various tee shirts, along with a pair of heavy combat boots. All his clothing, for shows (or going out) and day to day wear is in shades of black and red. He likes to stick to a theme. For his shows, however, he often adds a flair. His pants or shorts usually remain the same. His shirts, though, range from home-made tanks, to black-mesh. Or a combo of both. He wears torn hose under his shorts, and socks, and sometimes even over his arms (using cuffs on his biceps to hold them up). He also wears various spiked collars, necklaces, bracelets, and various fingerless gloves and wrist bands. And there is his heavier, taller combat boots.

His hair is a natural shade of dark brown, but he keeps it dyed black and red. He is usually in some form of makeup, but for day to day wear it is typically just dark eyeliner unless he is feeling the need to show off. For shows, however, his face is usually done up with a light coat of white paste, bright red and black eyeshadows, and black lipstick. It changes from time to time, but typically looks about the same.

Further still, he has a number of piercings. Both his ears sport a gauged piercing, while his left ear also has a helix piercing. He also has a lip piercing, nose piercing, a tongue piercing, and both of his nipples are pierced. On top of those, he has a number of tattoos. This includes large tats on both his inner forearms, a bat-cat and moon on his right shoulder, Rock Star arcoss his knuckles, one on his back and one on his chest. He’s decided he isn’t done getting more ink, or metal...but he really just hasn’t decided on what he wants to do next.

STRENGTHS: Drake’s strengths are both in his music and film. He can write music, as well as play keyboards (sort of), guitar, and bass. He is a fair singer, and does back-up vocals for his band from time to time. He also has a good eye for film shots and editing, making videos for the band. He is a decent photographer, and creative with makeup and clothing. He is level headed, and a decent mediator (a necessary skill for dealing with J). He is well read, and well spoken. Despite his lack of math skills, he is good at money management.

WEAKNESSES: Mathematics is not his best skill. He is also not the best fist-fighter, through he will jump into a brawl to help his buds out. He has a low alcohol tolerance, but a love for partying. He can’t dance, and is not the best flirt in the world. He is terrible with relationships, having what few he has been in fail after a short time. His biggest weakness, however, is his family and the fact that he will do almost anything to make them happy before he makes himself happy.

DETAILED PERSONALITY:Drake is easy to get along with, his humor carrying him far beyond friendly and sometimes right into annoying. His looks really don’t seem to match the personality, as he smiles quite a lot among his friends, and laughs a good bit more than that. More to the point, Drake always thinks the best of people until they get under his skin, which is difficult due to his rather long fuse. Unless of course your name is J.

But while his humor and friendly nature is genuine, and an important part of his personality, Drake also has his serious side. He tries remain level headed when dealing with people like Jacoby Wilkes, or even Shane in the band Rapturatra. He also takes making music serious, not playing around as much as many that know him would expect.

As far as other things go, Drake is considered normal. Very normal, despite his sense of responsibility. He looks after his brothers, even though Parker hates to admit he is related to Drake (apparently the Goth-look is quite disturbing for his yuppie-middle class brother). He’ll do his best to take care of both of them, be it bailing them out of jail so they don’t have to tell Mom, or giving them a place to crash when they just need to get away from the family.

As for his sister, he’s the ideal big brother. Anyone that makes the mistake of treating her badly is sure to get a ear full from him, if not a personal introduction to his fist. He’s never missed an event, band and choir recitals, plays, award ceremonies, everything and anything that she is in, he’s there, like he was for his brothers.

Drake is seen as a jokester, a class clown. People seem to know Drake well enough, even beyond his role as Rapturatra’s bassist (which is impressive if you ask him), and they know him as the ‘all around good guy’.

PERSONAL HISTORY: Drake’s life is pretty normal, at least if you ask him. It all started for him in 1986, when he was born to Franklin and Julia Howell. Being the first born wasn’t so bad, really, and he was his father’s biggest fan. Franklin often encourage Drake’s interest in music and film, taking him to his first low key, local music and film festivals even as a young boy. Franklin himself had a small band he kept up with college buddies, and was a big fan of family videos.

In 1991, Drake’s first sibling was born. Parker Howell was the apple of his mother’s eye, and never seemed to develop the same fascinations with film and music that Drake did. He took, however, to sports with a passion. Following Parker’s birth, Cliff was born in 1993, and took more interest in sports as well as he began to grow up. It wasn’t until his youngest sibling, Tabitha, was born in 1995 that Drake found a sibling he could be close to. Even if he was almost ten years older than her.

Together they all lived a rather normal life. In 1996, the family moved from Raleigh, Virgina to Chicago due to a job change for Franklin. Leaving that life, while sad, opened up knew ideas for Drake. He began to develop his own taste in music, which amused his father but horrified his mother to some extent. Life then continued to move on without much of a hitch for the Howell family.

However, in late 2000, things took a sudden unexpected turn for the family. Franklin was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in his kidneys. Already in stage four by the time it was discovered, Franklin’s prognosis was not good, and he passed away three weeks after Drake’s 15th birthday. The last gifts he had given his son was a digital video camera and a guitar.

Drake took his father’s death hard, and spent most of his time withdrawing into music and film. He did not speak about the matter to anyone, particularly not his mother. He felt, in many way, that he was now the man of the house and felt he needed to be strong enough to carry everyone else. It was about this time that he joined his first garage band, created with his friends.

As soon as he was old enough, Drake took a part-time job to help his mother pay bills and support the family. Julia always felt a bit guilty about it, and insisted that Drake didn’t need to do it. However, there was nothing she could say that would change his mind. He continued to work, play in the band, and go to school- leaving himself very little time to worry about how he felt about anything in particular. It was also during this time that he started to get into the goth sub-culture.

For this 18th birthday, Julia went with Drake to get his first facial piercing- his lip. For his high school graduation, she paid for him to get his ears pierced. She wasn’t a fan of his new found interest, but she felt that Franklin would have not stopped him, so how could she? After that, Drake continued to work fulltime over the summer, still helping with the family before starting college at a local community college.

In college Drake majored in film and music, trying to avoid most of the subjects that had given him the most grief in high school. He continued to live at home, and work. However, his high friends went off to different schools and his band fell apart. He took up bass, then, learning to play a new instrument while occasionally having jam sessions with other friends that were in other local bands.

During this time he collected not just more piercings, but tattoos as well. He often told his mother that it was a bit addictive, and that it was painful- but in a good way. He would make a point too, to attend all the school functions his siblings were involved in- sports for the boys, dance for Tabs. Eventually he enrolled in Chicago Film School after two years in a community college.

Soon after his graduation from college, Drake met Jacoby Wilkes, the lead singer for a local industrial metal band, Rapturatra. He joined the band as their bassist, and within the year had moved out of his mother’s room and into the basement of the band’s guitarist, Shane. He found a job with a local music shop, following that, and has been focused on someday making it big with the band; all the while still helping his mother as much as he can.

PLOT IDEAS: IDK for him, however it would be awesome for someone to play rival band members, or some of Drake’s band-mates! :D
