Places: Isla Partei
For lack of a better description, it’s Ibiza, Mardi Gras, Spring Break and Cancun at sundown ALL ROLLED INTO ONE.
Isla Partei is located way way north of New Meridian, and is a tropical island in the ocean.
One can only get there by boat, departing the mainland every Friday night. And it’s one HELL of a cruise—alcohol is served freely and room allocations for the overnight ride are somewhat flexible. Security is quite good; to make sure that everybody has a good time, but is by no means pervasive. One can get up to all sorts of shenanigans on the cruise!
The main street is called Spring Break, and is lined with bars, shops and hotels. It’s not unusual to see people walking around in beach wear (and sometimes less) amongst people dressed to the nines in formal gear. On Isla Partei, the main mode of transportation is small topless ‘golf’ buggies. They have a maximum speed of approximately 5mph, but that’s not a bad thing seeing as most of the people driving them are wasted anyway.
Every night there’s an event or ten being held at any one of the dance clubs, including drinking competitions, wet t-shirt pageants and dance-offs. Though many would like to deny it, the drug culture on Isla Partei is widespread and open, particularly in the clubs.
Other attractions on Isla Partei include the glow-in-the-dark amusement center, comprising a blacklit mini-golf course, bowling alley and rollerdisco, and the famous East Beach—the only clothing-optional public beach in Aylasia.
