My son has turned my wand into a serpent--a skinny greenish-brown one.

I'm pondering the significance of his choice (on a vast number of levels) and how the bloody fuck I'm going to transform a snake into a wand without a bloody wand.

On a related note--MALCOLM ELLERY BROWN, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN TEACHING MY SON?

You get someone elses wand to help! This is always the solution, in a number of ways.

AND I HAVE DONE NOTHING. I brought him a few toys, one MAY have been a small rubber snake. Maybe he's very smart and trying to tell you he'd like a real one.

What's he doing playing with your wand anyway?

Your son is absolutely brilliant and amazing, just like his father and now you can talk to him about not making things slither to get your attention. I'm sure he would love a few lessons on wand control!

You say that but it never really happens I won't buy him any more rubber animals. Merlin forbid he turns your shoes into rubber chickens or something.
