Physical Description: Rath is pretty average in size, not too big or small he stands at 5'11 with a thin but athletic frame. He doesn't really have one style. He'll wear jeans and t-shirts one day but dress up the next. He's never too picky about what he's wearing. He has a smattering of freckles across his face and body, he's very pale like the girls but he picks up a nice tan in the summer time from being outside as much as he is. His hair is red though sometimes it looks brown. He does fancy a hat or two.

Personality:

*Rath is an avid sewer and knitter. It started out of necessity as he and Tatum were constantly ruining their clothes.
*He's not at all the kind of guy to get into any sort of confrontation be it verbal or physical but may
the stars grace the one who fucks with his sisters. He would destroy for them.
*He is in love with Natalie Portman.
*He has a laundry list of ex girlfriends.

Secrets:
*He hasn't discussed his sexuality with anyone in depth but Tatum, he's not ashamed and he's not in the closet but he hasn't really figured a way of saying it aloud.
*Michael used to bring Rath fishing all the time when he was younger, it was the one time that it could really just be the boys and he enjoyed that time, he hasn't been fishing with his father in three years but those trips are what he misses most about his dad.
*He was involved in a love triangle in while he lived in Paris. It started when he had a threesome in Paris with his best friend Alan and Alan's girlfriend Benoite and they three became inseparable from then on out. Rath wouldn't admit it but it was like having a boyfriend and a girlfriend at the same time.
*He skypes with both Alan and Benoite but he and Alan have exchanged love letters written by hand and sent by owl. Benoite does not know.

Strengths: Potions, cooking, baking and anything to do with mixing or understanding chemistry. It comes to him naturally. He understands a lot about nature but he can't be bothered to memorize tree or plant names, but he can tell you what the do, what the smell like, and what they taste like by look alone. He's athletic and brave, almost fearless when it comes to diving headfirst into things. He has an incredible sense of adventure and will not shy away from any opportunity if he's even slightly interested in it. He's got a small touch of divination.

Weaknesses: Rath can be incredibly lazy when he doesn't feel like doing something or if he's not passionate about it. He is the kind of person who's laundry piles up because he just doesn't want to do it. He'll never admit it, but he's too proud.

Detailed personality:
Rath is a lovable goofball. At first people just see a cheerful, kind, goofy kid but he can be quite charming and always had more dates than most of the jocks in his year (much to their dismay). He's likable, friendly, and extremely dependable. He will raise up and help anyone in need be it a friend, a stranger, or an enemy. He is not one to sit idle while someone else is in pain or in trouble. His sense of loyalty is incredibly strong and he will stand up for the people in his life, especially Tatum.

He has an incredible sense of adventure and will not shy away from any opportunity if he's even slightly interested in it. There are so few things that would discourage him that it's almost impossible to imagine a situation where Rath wouldn't lead the way, flags blazing. Rath is not afraid of relationships either, he loves love and being in love. People are a source of comfort for him, he loves being around loves to be at the center of the commotion.

He's an open book and doesn't intentionally keep secrets. There are some conversations that he doesn't know how to approach but if asked about them he would tell it all. He is incredibly forgiving and always willing to give people a second chance but if they blow that second chance he'll be the first person to tell the person off. He's upfront but always delivers that sort of news with a gentle hand.


Personal History
Rath was a pretty happy kid with as normal a life could be for a child of mixed parentage in Maine. He doted on his little sisters and was always one of the first kids on the block to cause trouble. Never mean spirited or targeting, he was just full of mischief and good humor. He learned a lot about nature just from being outside so much and hanging out with his dad. Rath always did enjoy Michael's company until he started to get a little bit older and started developing interests outside of fishing, camping, and being one of the guys.

It's no big secret that Tatum and Rath have a special bond, she's his best friend and he can never hide anything from her, not that he never really wants to. Though they have some huge differences, they have a lot more in common than they do differences. He loves raising hell with his twin and he trusts her with everything.

Michael had never approved of some of Rath's interests especially knitting, sewing, and dancing. He found that his father was incredible critical when it came to his hobbies and there was nothing that he could do that was good enough until he finally joined the quodpot team in his freshman year for Appalachia where he played as a reserve for one year. He found that he was actually good at the sport and really enjoyed it despite the fact that it had been pushed onto his plate. He did however stick to the other things he enjoyed and still received harsh criticism for it.

As Rath went through his high school years at Blue Ridge, his relationship with Michael further deteriorated due to their difference of opinion on religion, sexuality, and masculinity. Though it was never discussed directly, the issues were skirted around for years until the two would blow up in argument over the most mundane thing. School for Rath had always been sort of easy but he was lazy when it came to homework so he never achieved the grades he would have if only he had put in a little more time. The one thing he had ever been excited about was potions and cooking club. He looked forward to those two things every week and it was then that he decided he wanted to be a baker or a cook of sorts and though there was an excellent magical culinary school right on Blue Ridge campus, Rath was beginning to debate the benefits of going to a school further away.

Though Rath hated the idea of leaving Tatum and Sera behind at Blue Ridge he wanted to give himself space from his father. Their tenuous relationship over the years was becoming oppressive and Rath wanted to feel like he could breath again. With some help from his step mother he prepared an application for a culinary school in Paris where he would study pastry. He did extremely well in the program and was at the top of his class until Tatum got kicked out of the house in Maine and basically disowned by their father.

Angry and ashamed of his father, Rath dropped out of school just to piss his parents off. He took the money that was supposed to go toward his tuition and spent it backpacking around Europe. he spent most of his money on hostels and transportation but he did alright. In early March he was about to turn back and head for home to regroup and perhaps try a different tactic when he received the devastating news that Tatum had been attacked by a werewolf and he rushed home to be by her side. There are several things Rath plans on doing: he's going to go back to the the house in Maine one more time until Tatum is ready to move back to campus, then he will promptly move all his things into an apartment in Bluebell Town and tell his father to fuck off and tell him that his sister's deserve better. He's already spoken to the head master about returning to school in the culinary division and picking up where he left off in Paris.
