Mason hates to think about his childhood and how truly miserable he was. He was raised by only his father, never knowing who his mother was. And his father was very boring and very strict, a psychiatrist working at one of the best mental health facilities in the United Kingdom.

This brought on problems for Mason, even as a child. His father was always trying to analyze everything about him, even when there was nothing to analyze. He was just a typical kid who liked to watch sci-fi movies and play with action figures. And have sword fights with his penis when his friends came over. Nothing wrong with that.

By the time Mason was a teenager, he knew he didn't want to be anything like his father. He didn't want to be a boring man who read all the time in darkly lit rooms. He didn't want to brood. So he started his lifetime wish of wanting to become a musician like all the greats. Hendrix, Iggy, Bowie. Just to name a few.

He lived to anger his father by breaking curfew, spending his nights out partying and drinking. Trying to piece together a band. He let his studies go in pursuit of his real dream and dropped out of college by the time he was sixteen. His father cut off all of his allowance and made him move out of the house upon hearing this news.

Mason hopped around from job to job while playing with his band at night for little to nothing. He was only able to afford a roach-infested flat in a dark part of town with a few of his band mates. He continued to pursue his dreams, but nothing ever materialized.

After losing his job at the age of twenty-two, Mason became desperate when he couldn't find a replacement fast enough to pay his rent. He went back to his father and begged him to help him find work. Mason is now in charge of bedpans and distributing medicines to patients at the hospital his father works at. Mostly, he just steals the drugs for himself.
