First off, sorry about being late I forgot I said EST instead of PST (I'm in PST, so... xD;; Oops.) ANYWAY. Since we're all essentially graphic designers of some kind here, I figure the perfect thing to start with would be problem-solving. One definition of graphic designers after all is "a creative problem-solver." So the first theme is going to be...
WEEK ONE: BIZARRE BASES and COMPLEMENTS
Theme 1: Bizarre bases. Make an icon using an out of the ordinary base. If you do a person, do a weird angle instead of the face or if you do a face, do a part of the face that isn't usually cropped for icons. Text is optional and the only requirement is that the base is out-of-the-ordinary and the icon follows Scribbld requirements for upload.
Theme 2: Complementary colors. Make an icon using complementary colors (colors opposite eachother on the color wheel. Orange/Blue, Yellow/Purple, Red/Green, and all the complements in between).
Entries due by: Sat. March 13 at 9PM EST. Make sure to include the icon, the URL, the subject, and what the subject is from (if applicable). Have fun! |
