Tatum wasn't sure if she really was, but she felt sort of like she was trembling all over. Between sensory overload and all of the emotions, guilt and arousal winning the race neck to neck, it was hard to even focus on the words coming out of the blonde's mouth. When Mack said she made her feel safe, the redhead looked at her rather sheepishly and just a bit skeptically. "W-What? Me?" she whispered back, pulling away from the older girl's lips just a little.
"I-I'm just a wimp, I couldn't-- I c-can't keep anybody safe, you're like the.. b-big dumb hero or whatever," she muttered, eyes closing as their foreheads rested together. She couldn't help but smile despite herself at the blonde's admission. "Don't make me r-roll up a coconut joint. I have the p-power," she joked. It was wrong but it just felt right, to be sitting with her, joking with her.
Knowing she should have pulled away, she just leaned in for another kiss.
