Characters: Jenny & Sera [& Max?]
Setting: February 12th, Sunday night in Sera's room in the Quirank dorms.
Content: SFW except for language and general girls in love stuff.
Summary: Sera wants to talk to Jenny after her date with Charlie, and Jenny doesn't really want to talk to her. Except that she really does. Max interrupts! Chaos ensues.

Leaving Shenandoah that night, Jenny really didn't know what she was thinking. It had been a complicated enough weekend, with cheerleading and the awkwardness that now went along with it on Friday night, the dance and subsequent potion prank Saturday night, and then all of how her Sunday had gone so far on top of that. Out of the three days, Sunday had actually been the best so far, aside from waking up with Hendrix. That was something she wasn't going to get over any time soon, looking him in the eyes after he had seen her delicates was a horrifying thought, but at least seeing each other in their underwear had been as far as they had gotten.

There were other people who couldn't say the same.

It had been a weird morning, and her date with Charlie in the afternoon had been pleasant enough, even after finding out what had gone on between her and Sera the night before. Sera, the thought that she kept trying to push out of her mind, but couldn't quite get rid of. She had gone to the Valentine dance with Charlie, but only because she was sweet and she had known there was no chance of Sera asking her. When the younger girl had texted her on the morning after the dance, more or less prodding to know what had happened to her, being hostile had been the easiest answer but the whole conversation had still caused her heart to skip a little beat. So much as she was furious with the brunette, staying away from her and cutting her out of her life was like a chore. She hated being jerked around, but she hated being away from her even more. She hated that she had dragged Charlie into the mess of it all, and hated that there was nothing she could really do about it.

Even if she wanted to say 'no' and get on with her day, even if she had known that nothing good would come of the two of them hanging out together, she had reluctantly told Sera that maybe she could spare a few minutes to talk after she was done at Charlie's for the night. Now she was on her way back to Quirank, keeping vigilantly aware of her surroundings as she crossed the dark campus, her hoodie pulled up over her hair, which was quite messy. She had gotten her sweater wet at the lake earlier, and they had gone back to Charlie's room to dry off and just watch a movie, but one thing had led to another..

But after all of that, which she wasn't about to go thinking about when she had to go and deal with Sera in a few moments, it was now getting fairly late. She didn't have all night, they had classes in the morning, and she really hoped that whatever the brunette was going to say that it would be worth her while. She didn't even know what she wanted to hear. She had mentioned moving out, about telling her dad, but Jenny felt that maybe it was a little too late for all of that. It would have been a fine solution in December, honesty right from the start, before she had been so hurtful and distant to her for the last two months, but the blonde wasn't sure if it was enough now.

There was a big part of her hoped that it could be. She wanted to love her again, wanted Sera to convince her that it could work again, but there was a lot more to consider now. Things were far from the carefree relationship that they had once had, that Jenny had personally always thought of as nothing short of perfect. That was why, after all, the break-up had shaken her to her very foundation. If Sera could just throw her away like that once, then she had a hard time keeping herself from thinking that the younger girl was just as able to do it to her again.

Reaching the Quirank common room at long last, she pushed her hood down, feeling much warmer already as she made her way inside. It was pretty deserted downstairs, and she didn't really have much to say to anyone as she ducked her head and made her way over toward the stairs. She was pretty sure that she had seen Sera's lunkhead of a boyfriend and some of his friends sitting over by one of the bookcases, but she tried to avoid looking in that direction as she headed upstairs to the junior floor, hesitating on the landing there while staring down at Sera and Meka's door.

This was stupid, she tried to tell herself. It would be much more practical to just go upstairs to her own bed and go to sleep and end the entire stupid weekend. Why did she want to go and add a fight with her ex on top of everything else? Which, she had decided, was surely what would happen. Still though, Sera had asked for a chance, and Jenny always had such a hard time writing people off, even when they had been the worst to her.. and even if Sera had been the worst, she had also been some of the best. Giving a frustrated groan, the blonde dejectedly began to trod over to the brunette's door, stopping a few paces in front of it and giving a gentle knock. Once upon a time, she would have let herself in after that, but she just shuffled her sneakers uncomfortably instead, waiting for Sera to answer.
