Hunter wanted to argue with what the younger girl suggested, but she was never one for denying the truth of a matter. She was straight up, always, speaking her mind without a second of cursory thought. Why was this different? It was the damn fluttering in her stomach that was getting her. She wanted to punch herself in the gut a little to try and calm it.

"No, I guess it ain't," she relented quietly, with a quirky little smile as she looked at the other girl. She closed her eyes briefly as Michi kissed her softly again, and she felt the butterflies in her stomach taking flight again.

"Guess we might as well say it theb 'cos.. I really wanna be with ya I guess," she said simply, turning to glance back toward the school, squinting in that direction and avoiding Michi's eyes. She swallow thickly again, trying to keep up a nonchalant tone and expression. It was all she could do not to kiss her again.

"I'd never-- I know I wasn't.. a real good girlfriend before, but I ain't a fuckin' kid no more.. I just fought a fuckin' monster and won. I wanna protect y'all from like.. all the fuckin' monsters you gotta deal with. I do."
