Hunter swallowed thickly, still staring behind them a little bit before finally turning back to Michi. She was never normally one to get all weird and emotional like this, but there was just no sense in trying to hide it. She fought for her friends all of the time, but she had never gotten quite as riled up as she had tonight.
That was just what Michiko did to her. They had been broken up for a while, but she had always felt especially protective of the other girl, even though she knew that she could hold her own in the end. The idea of him messing with her, of him ever putting his fist to her, made her blood boil all over again and she clenched and unclenched her fists absently.
She hated the conflicted feelings inside of her, and she was never one to have much patience with anything. Turning her head a bit to look at Michi, she gave her a sort of sheepish look. It looked, and felt odd, on the normally boisterous girl. "I'm gunna do somethin' stupid, 'kay, but ya gotta just go with it," she informed her finally.
She shifted the bag on her shoulder again, and stepped in closer, stooping a little bit to press their foreheads together. The blonde hesitated for just a split second, reminding herself that certain actions couldn't be undone even in the heat of the moment, before pressing her lips firmly against Michi's, pulling the younger girl closer still by the front of her shirt.
