Ace sighed wearily and looked around the dance with a serious expression. One part of him was grumpy for being asked to chaperone the dance, his brain telling him he hadn't signed up for this to be a babysitter, but then the other part was relieved that someone decided it would be safe enough to stop patrolling tonight. He'd put some men out there, but the word was that it was going to be a quiet night, just kids puking and getting into fights. No biggie.

He was just thinking he'd be able to slink off early and go see Ellie when something caught his eye. "Hey!" he barked, grabbing some kid by the neck of his shirt. He took the flask the boy was about to pour into the punch and sniffed it. "Not tonight, kid" he growled, pushing his back towards his classmate with a shove on the back of his head and taking the flask for himself. Where the hell did they get firewhisky from anyway? he thought as he sipped it.
