Hunter wasn't sure the shocked silence was a good or bad thing, she honestly had no idea how Mack would react to the news. She hadn't known how she would react to something like this herself until today. When she had boyfriends, she had always been careful, one of the few things she was ever careful with was a rubber. But this was different. It wasn't her and it wasn't the same, but she had a tugging in the pit of her stomach that told her it really was the same. Her or Michi, it was still sort of her baby in the end. Would be, if that was what Michi decided she wanted.

She'd be damned if she left the younger girl alone, especially now, be damned if Pas was allowed to raise that baby, and that left it up to her. It wasn't even a question in her mind. She had no experience, it was scary, but somehow not the scariest thing. The ideas she was having about how badly she wanted to beat up Pascual were scarier. If she saw him right then, she doubted anyone could pull her off of him. It was lucky he hadn't been around.

Feeling Mackenzie's weight lifting wordlessly from the mattress, the taller blonde finally began to dig her way back to the surface. It was hard to breath in there, and she hadn't cried yet, hoped not to. She didn't really need to hide unless that happened. Peering out of the top of the sleeping bag and blankets and vaguely looking a bit like a big blonde groundhog, Hunter's eyes lit up at the sight of the vodka. Peach, no less. They were on the same level.

Freeing her hands and tking the bottle by the neck, Hunter tipped her head back and unceremoniously took a huge swig. The burn of the alcohol in her throat was familiar, almost comforting. Wiping her mouth on Mack's blanket before taking another drink, the taller blonde shook her head. "Dunno," she sighed simply. "I think she-- yeah, I think she is. She was.. talkin' like that. Said she couldn't, y'know, give up on it.. gotta agree I guess, ain't that baby's fault they're gunna be born."

Taking another swig, she went on. "I keep thinkin' of us, y'know? We didn't ask to be born and our.. our moms still hate us. And she's scared, she don't wanna be like her mom, but she wouldn't be. Michi would be.. fuck, the best damn mom," the blonde went on, lowering her head a bit as she muttered the last bit. She felt it was true, if there was anyone she felt could handle this, it was Michiko. It was just going to be rough getting there.

When Mack asked if she was going to stay with her, the taller girl's head shot up and she looked at her friend with a look of surprise of her own. "Course I'm gunna stay wit' her! What d'you think I am, a total fuckin' loser? She's-- I f-fuckin' love her, man, so fuckin' much," she shot back, swallowing thickly and trying to stay tough even as she voiced such girly lame feelings. She meant it though, and she had a feeling Mack was starting to learn to relate. Playboy or not, there was no way for her childhood friend to miss the way the shorter blonde looked at that redhead when she thought no one was watching.

She took the offered cigarette, using her wand to cast the same quick charm before lighting up, exhaling shakily. With the hand not holding her liquor, she rubbed her own face absently. "Thanks man," she muttered genuinely, glancing at Mack. "I'd love that actually, I-- I dunno if she told anyone else but I mean, s'Kia.. she'll fix it up right? She gotta," Hunter replied, flopping back onto the bed more and still smoking.

"I'm such a fuckin' idiot, she told me and I jus'.. I jus' stared at her like she got three heads, an' she was cryin' and I couldn't move I jus' can't-- the fucks wrong with us? Why can't I jus' man up and hold my fuckin' girlfriend? She probably thinks I don't even want her, but fuck it man, I jus'.. it ain't easy to say. It ain't easy to be like, yeah, I want a fuckin' family. A real one, I dunno how to.. I shoulda talked to her more. I jus' let her go to her damn room, I shoulda chased her an' told her I'm like.. good, y'know? Scared! But good, I'd never.. I wanna be there. I wanna be a fuckin' dad or a mom or whatever!" she rambled in frustration, covering her face after she finished speaking. "Fuck."
