If Michiko could handle keeping them in line, there was no baby out there that could stump her. She and Mack were much more unpredictable and mobile.

She was relieved when Mackenzie locked the door, and she even relaxed back more comfortably into the pile of sleeping bag and blankets she was still half tangled inside of. With the vodka still in hand, she took another swig and followed it with a drag from the cigarette. "Gotta get this in, I guess. Dads can't be doin' this shit," she sighed, her eyes going wide even as she said it. She was kind of right. It probably wouldn't be good to go around drunk every night now if Michi was expecting.. they were expecting, that was what a couple would say. It made her gulp.

She listened to what her best friend told her, feeling a bit reassured more and more by the second. By the time the shorter blonde was done talking, Hunter was smiling sort of bashfully, trying to cover it up by looking overly skeptical. "Whatever, fag. I'm jus'.. y'know, it's my boo. I gotta have her," she replied, shrugging and shaking her head a bit. Chewing her lower lip, she sighed. "Gotta have her, ain't nobody else who does.. that fuckin' piece of shit that caused all this and then them parents, if y'all even wanna call them that.. fit right in with our folks," the blonde murmured.

"I'll be a damn good pops, an' I'll be all the damn family she needs. We'll do it right," Hunter stated, trying to sound confident, and even starting to feel it a bit. Maybe it was the alcohol. "You'll be an auntie, man. You and Kia.. for sure, any kid I ever had. Y'all are family. We're jus'.. y'know, expandin' the family. We're good," she agreed. When Mack brought up their promise, she followed her friend's eyes, finding what she was looking at and cracking another weak smile.

"Jus' like we said, man.. brothers for life. We're basically blood related after that, same diff, right?"
