| Corbin and Colby |

The fights were getting unbearable. Paul was unbearable, but he was still at their house and Corbin had calmed down quite a bit since he'd attacked the poor kid. At the moment, Paul was asleep in the bedroom, on a makeshift bed on the floor. He was like a dog, Corbin liked to think. He wasn't going to let the mongrel into the bed. His mother was out of town with her boyfriend and after Paul had been so upset about getting hit, Corbin offered to let him stay. Stupid, but he thought maybe if Paul was still around, Colby would be less likely to take off with their father for just a little while longer.
He'd just come back from the occult shop about an hour ago. He had a book in his lap and he was sitting on the couch reading it intently. He didn't know where Colby was, but he could sense deep in his bones that his brother hadn't gone anywhere too far away. He dreaded the moment he felt so empty that it was clear Colby had left him for good. The book on his lap was about demons, summoning them and--most importantly--banishing them.
