Thorny is bummed
"Good luck, it's been up there awhile," he offered lightly. Saying it out loud had him realizing it was true.

This girl was really on the defensive, but Thorn was used to that sort of thing. People always had their guard up with him and maybe for good reason. "Yep," he replied. "Just started university."
