Being rather an addict, Adelaide didn't get nearly so far with her candy. She made it out of the boat and a little way across the ceiling, but came back down to the floor much sooner than the stairs and would have been entirely lost in the basement had the staircase not been lit up with tiny jack-o-lanterns and therefore somewhat like a beacon. She offered Luka a sheepish smile once she made it back into the light.
