Maddy couldn't help snorting in laughter. The theatre kids themselves couldn't put on a better production. She downed the rest of her drink and wandered off to find something a little less tawdry to witness.
Veronica leaned in curiously, concerned, still quite a bit drunk. "Is everyone okay?"
"Abby got punched in the face trying to stop it," Cinna said unhappily. Stas had taken her away immediately, so she knew that her friend was being taken care of, but it was still distressing to see it happen. "The guys are just... guys." That was a valid explanation as far as Cinna was concerned. Guys punched and took punches, and unless they got knocked out or something then they were fine because guys did that shit. "Timmy fucked off somewhere and Addy took Luka home or something." She sighed dramatically and shook her head. "Punched in the face on her birthday. Great going."
"Maybe she shouldn't have run into the fight," Carly interjected, perfectly sensibly. There were plenty of other people who could break up that stupid fight, but leave it to Shabby Ford to run into the middle of it.
