Who: Leland and Open!
Where: On campus
When: After class on Thursday
What: Leland is out catching some rays
Rating: SFW but language
Despite the rain it had been a pretty stellar week in the North country. The grass was growing in nice and soft just how Leland liked it, the sun was warm and the breeze was just right. On such a fine day Leland choose to take a step back from teasing the underclassmen and wander outside with Emili curled around his shoulders. He found a nice quiet spot where he figured he wouldn't get disturbed or find temptation looming near by and he laid himself down in the grass, adjusting Emili so she could lounge on his chest. Closing his eyes, he smiled. and took in a lungful of fresh spring air.
It had been a while since he allowed himself some quiet, it was a nice change in pace from his constant go-go-go lifestyle. He was quietly content with his eyes closed until his sunlight was blocked. He felt the shadow fall over his face. A little frown curled his lips downward. "I didn't know we were scheduled for a solar eclipse," he said before opening his eyes.

"Dude, I am the sun." She crashed down next to him, narrowly missing the tail of his snake. "Your shirt is like massively offensive, I love it."
"What do you mean offensive?" he asked trying to play coy.
"Nah," he smirked at his shirt and then back at Cinna. "Well, while you're looking down there you should check out my snake," he suggested, petting Emili.
"I'll keep that in mind," he said. "The fuckin' lady only wears belly shirts on the weekend," he nodded. "So Brit, how was your vacation?"
She shrugged. "It was all right. All these douchebags from Miami U were hogging up the beach the whole time. Like, fuckers, you're in college, to go to Cancun. Right?" Her mom was disgustingly in love with spring break and the influx of drunk college boys that followed. "What'd you get up to?"
"I bet you coulda kicked their asses of the beach with a little effort," he nudged her a little. "Eh," he shrugged. "Nothing good. Terrorized some locals and ate about thirty of Aunt Maria's apple pies."
She flopped back on the grass and untucked her top to pull it up. "I'm all like, crunches and shit 'cause I'm afraid I'll look like my mom."
"Your mom's banging," he knew she hated that but sometimes he just couldn't help himself.
"Your birthday's like soon right? Got plans?"
"You're good with dates chica," he said with grin. "It's the seventeenth," he nodded. "I don't have any plans though," he shrugged. "Probably try to get some booze and drink myself silly. Aunt Maria is going to bring me an apple pie or apple cake if you wanna stop by for a slice."
"I could always throw a rager," he said idly.
Yes, Cinnamynn Thompson was wishing silence upon somebody. Unironically. What was the world coming to?
"Aw shit! You totally should, like the weekend before? People'll still be all hyped from prom and you know they've been smuggling drinks in for it. If they know there's a party they'll save some, and you'll get like free runoff booze!"
"Prom sounds like so much work," he groaned stretching his arms over his head. "You have to vote for shit?" he asked.
"Cinnamynn Thompson, you are a god damn genius. Marry me," he joked. "Well... at least put the word at for the party?" he grinned.
"I am a genius!" She agreed, laughing as she sat up. "I'll put out a super-secret all-points bulletin. Party on the other side of the lake, Saturday night... ps vote Cinna for prom queen."
He patted his chest, smiling at her with all the smarm he could muster. "I would worship the ground you walk on for at least a week," he teased. "Maybe we should tell people to bring fruit baskets and veggie platters too," he joked, laughing lightly.
"I'm gonna ask Thorn, duh. Unless he asks me first. But I don't think he even knows prom's coming, he's such a ditz. Ohhhh my god, so hot though." She curled Emili up into a ball of snake and placed her very carefully on Leland's chest. "Only a week?!"
"I wouldn't count on it babe," he said looking at her sideways. I heard he's going with that little red haired freak," his lips curled into a devious grin. Oh the way he loved picking on that girl. "It's the natural order of things. Freaks and freaks go together," he loved his bro Thorny but that kid was something of a freak of nature.
He pet Emili once she was placed on his chest, she stretched out again, taking up as much space on him as possible. "Well... depending on the epicness of the party it might be longer," he winked at her.
She scowled and kicked her feet out in front of her. "What a bitch. She's so in love with Manney you know, but Rosana was all like I'LL CUT YOU. What, I'm not as scary as her? Oh my god, I can't believe she stole my date! What a hooker!" Cinna had a habit of calling her friends a wide and colorful series of names at times, not realizing that it could sound far less affectionate than intended to outside ears.
"I never thought she was a hooker but I'll definitely let her know the next time I see her," he grinned.
"Anyway dude, I gotta go get changed for Cheer. Aren't you going to Muggle Sports?"
"Need any help?" he asked with a smarmy grin. He pushed himself off the ground, scooping up Emili as he did. He held his hand to Cinna, offering her help up. "Yeah, I didn't realize what time it was," he said. "I'll walk you back?"
