When the Soviet Union collapsed in the late eighties, the Black Widow was already a famous spy and Natasha wasn’t going to give up the life just because her masters were gone. She found a new one. Herself. Freelance worked paid better and it allowed her to be more selective when taking a job.
Her reputation grew as did her bank accounts. It wasn’t such a bad life. It kept her on her toes and kept things interesting.
A chime sounded and Natasha looked at her Inbox. There was a new email and the sender’s address looked familiar. A new job? Probably. She clicked on the email and read it.
How convenient. The job was right here in New York and she’d be able to rub elbows with the high society crowd. It was time to go to work.
