As promised, the Quidditch Rankings of the 1998-99 Season!

Points are worked out by adding together the points scored by the team and adding the points scored against the team. Then taking away the total of points scored against from points scored for. Lost? Don't panic. The important thing you really have to know is the rankings.

(Note: The points are only from the first half of the season because I got lazy.)

The Quidditch scores for this weekend are up. Find them here - Round 14.

Edit: And because mod is a lazy face... all results would have been printed up in the Daily Prophet as well as information on the new team line-ups - this includes a little paragraph about Marcus Flint being the new Falcons Captain:
"Marcus Flint, star Chaser of the Falmouth Falcons has been made Captain after the departure of Christian Delaney to Tutshill over the Season break. Flint has only transferred over to the Falcons this season but he was a natural choice to lead the Falcons - as he proved with their crushing victory over the Arrows this past weekend. Flint also looks like he is in good contention to be on the English National side in their upcoming friendly International Match against China in late March."

Okay... feel free to have your characters react to that.

A Few Notes on Quidditch

We have a few Quidditch players in play now so I thought I'd put this up to explain how the Quidditch Season works in Occultus.

There are 13 Teams in the British and Irish Quidditch League and the Season is broken up into two halves, 13 rounds each half. (So each Team gets to verse each other at Home and Away). The season starts the first weekend of August (in game being the 6th and 7th). And runs for 13 weeks before players get a mid-season break, which generally runs for two weeks.

At the game's beginning we had just finished the first 13 rounds. Scores and matches are listed here (rounds 1 to 6) and here (rounds 7 to 13).

Quidditch will recommence next weekend (19th and 20th November) and will continued for another 13 rounds - with a two week break for the weeks of Christmas and New Years (19th December to 3rd January). Rounds 14 to 19 can be found here. 19 to 26 are coming soon.

The regular Quidditch season will end the last weekend of February. With finals rounds in the following three weeks. After finals, players have representational games playing for their countries and what have you... or just a really long break till the new season starts in August again.
