Effie had sat down to a plate of hot gallimachas and a datapad apparently begging for her scientific speculation between bouts of eating.
"Despite the shortage of surviving sensor data," she tells herself in quiet, lilting, absent-minded tones, tapping the keys of the datapad without even looking at them, "The sort of ionization that small emissions nebulae and similar phenomena would be capable of can be almost immediately excluded as a cause of the accident due to the apparently homogenous coloration of the gases. Undoubtedly, any conclusions drawn based on the cloud's appearance are rendered problematic both by scale and the possible predominance of interstellar dust, but...." She trailed off as she noticed she still had a plate of food, didn't she? Time for more eating!
