I just wanted to point out that there is a quick+dirty way to save threads if you're pressed for time and don't want to transfer a threaded scene to gDocs by C&P-ing each reply. You can just save the entire entry (original post + comments) as an html document by going to File->"Save Page As" which you can open in a browser or text editor later. You can also do this by right-clicking the link/lj-cut to the post and choosing "Save Link As". However, if you want to SAVE ANY IMAGES IN THE POST you need to do it the first way which will save a file PLUS a folder of the embedded content. Otherwise, go route #2 to just get the code of the page+the text of the replies and avoid the clutter of the embedded content folders.
This is basically doing the same thing as LJ-SEC or another one of the archiving programs would do, but this is a post-by-post basis because those programs don't like non-moderators trying to save community posts+comments.
