Arthur Curry, also known as Orin and Aquaman, took a seat the table the hostess led him too. Today was a break from the chaos that was usually Sub Diego. Not to mention Arthur loved a good steak along with good beer. He was a man of simple tastes.
He gave his order to the waitress with a rare smile. Then he sat and waited for his food to come.

Diana had been getting back in touch with people since returning to man's world. And Arthur was an old friend, so it was only natural that she sought him out. She'd heard that he was living in Sub Diego these days, so she'd gone there first. When she'd arrived, he wasn't there, and Lorena told her that he'd gone out for lunch, and told her where he usually liked to go to eat whenever he wanted to get away from Sub Diego for a bit.
When Diana arrived at the restaurant, the waitress pointed her in the direction of Arthur's table. She smiled when she saw him.
"Arthur," she said. "It's good to see you."
"Diana?" he asked and stood up as one did when a lady entered the room or approached the table. "Is everything okay?" Arthur wasn't the type to just have people drop in and visit. Most gave him a wide berth.
Diana smiled at him. "Everything is fine, Arthur." Diana said. "I just thought I would visit an old friend. I stopped by. Lorena told me you might be here."
Arthur blinked. "Oh. I thought...." He smiled. "Never mind what I thought. Would you care to join me?" he asked. He moved to pull out a chair for her.
"I've been away from man's world for sometime. I'm getting back in touch with everyone." She smiled. "And yes, I would love to."
Diana took a seat.
"How've you been, Arthur?"
Arthur sat after Diana and motioned for the waiter to come over to take her order. "I'm good, Diana. Yourself?"
"I'm doing well, Arthur. I had to go Themyscira for a bit, so I was away for awhile. But it's always good to be back." The waiter came, and Diana ordered a pasta dish, and a glass of red wine. "How are things in Sub Diego?"
Arthur shrugged. "The same. We're still trying to get things organized and rebuilt. It's going to be a long process, but we're slowly getting there."
"Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help, Arthur."
He smiled. "I will, Diana. I appreciate the offer. It means a lot."
"Certainly, Arthur. I can understand how hard rebuilding can be, sometimes."
"How are things on Themyscira?"
"Well, thank you," Diana said. "We had some problems what we had to deal with for a bit, but everything is well, now."
Arthur nodded. "That's good to hear. Seems like we've both been out of contact with the normal world for awhile."
"It would appear so, I haven't been a good movie in ages." She smiled. "Perhaps you could catch one with me, if you have the time."
"That sounds like you're asking me out on a date," Arthur said clearly amused at the idea. "I would love to go see a movie with an old friend."
"Not a date," Diana said with a smile. "Like you said, just seeing a movie with an old friend."
"I would love to go. I haven't been to a movie in ages. Not since Mer...." Arthur stopped. He couldn't even say her name. He still loved her that much and it still hurt that much.
Diana gave him a small smile. "It's alright, Arthur." She paused. "Have you...talked to her at all?"
He shook his head. "Not recently. It's quite clear she doesn't want to talk or see me." If there was one thing he learned over the years was that one did not piss off his wife. Ex-wife.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Arthur."
"It's life," he said and downed the remaining beer in his glass. He shrugged. "Who knows what will happen."
