AGE REQUIREMENT: Due to the general questionable nature of Greek mythology, we are requiring that all players are at least 18 years of age. There will be mature scenes, violence, drama, and all that lovely things that the Greeks bring with them. Please do not apply if you cannot handle mature themes and are unable to scroll past NSFW scenes.

All scenes that are Not Safe For Work that are of the Rated R rating must be placed behind a journal cut tag and friends locked.

ACTIVITY REQUIREMENT: The minimum activity for is two scenes per month per character. Please make sure that you are able to make this activity requirement for each character you have before considering another. Each sub-thread within party/event threads will count as individual scenes. Journal entries are encouraged but are not required for activity checks.

Activity checks will be performed on the first of every month. Results will be posted on the OOC community and those that did not pass will receive an email. If you know you will not be able to make activity due to problems, please let the Mod know so your absence will not count against you. If you are having trouble coming up with a scene to do to make activity, contact a Mod and we'll be happy to help you come up with ideas.

If you do not make the cut, to be cleared you must email the Mod at alterlocusmod@gmail.com with a brief description of a plot you will carry out. It could be anything from your character meeting with another to something more complex. You have one week to post this plot on the IC community. If you fail to email the mods and/or do not post your plot within that time frame, you will be removed from the community.

CHARACTER CAP: The current character cap is four characters per player. Each player is allowed no more than two Olympian characters. You must apply again with each new character you wish to pick up.

There is the option to pick up a fifth character for those who wish to. If you would like a fifth character, please contact with Mod with your request. The Mod will determine your eligibility based on your current record with activity and completed scenes.

Please note that if you have more than one character and repeatedly have difficulty making activity checks, you will be asked to drop a character until your activity improves.

SPELLING AND GRAMMAR: Nobody is perfect and mistakes happen. Please try to keep an eye on your writing, and spell check never hurt anyone. Do not type like LiKe ThIs and refrain from using texting and IM speak within your scenes.

NO SOLE SHIPPING: If you have come here to solely play a character with another in a relationship and don't intend to participate with plot and play with other characters, please look elsewhere. You will be expected to play with other players and characters as well as participate in game wide plot from time to time. You are not required to play with every other character in the game but if it is noticed that you only play with a select few, you will be asked to branch out.

NO GARY STUS OR MARY SUES: Yes, you may be playing gods. That does not mean that they are perfect! In fact, gods are some of the most flawed people out there. They have weaknesses and flaws just like any mortal character. Mortal characters are also expected to have their flaws and weaknesses. No children of gods will be playable in this game.

NO POWERPLAYING/GODMODDING: At no point will one player be allowed to pre-determine the actions or words of characters belonging to another player. You are only in control of your own characters. Your character can swing a knife and attempt to slash someone in the gut, but it is the determination of the other player whether that hit lands. Any major events that will have a direct effect on the characters of another player must be cleared with that player.

Any NPCs that your character may have, such as relative, are to remain NPCs. They are not characters that were applied for, therefore you are not permitted to actively scene with them. Very brief appearances are permitted.

Major occurrences such as a character getting pregnant or a rather large fight are to be cleared with the Mod before they occur.

We understand that as you are playing gods, they do have powers and can do things mortal characters cannot. Remember that their powers are diminished! There is a trust factor in that you will not abuse this power and we hope that you do not betray that. If we feel that you are abusing the privilege, you will be smacked with the nerf stick.

DRAMA! This is a Greek game. Greeks are drama. That is all in game, however, and we expect out of character drama to remain at a minimum. Keep in mind that there is a difference between character feelings in game and player feelings out of game!

We are all mature here and should be able to talk any issues out like adults. If things cannot be settled between players, has escalated, or you feel you are unable to handle a situation, contact the Mod! Thats what mods are here for. One warning will be given to any player creating drama and bad vibes. If that one warning is not heeded you will be asked to leave the game.
