Allegiance and why: Privately he fully supports the Revolutionairies, but publically he stands with the aristocrats who want the world as it has always been. There are reasons for such split loyalties but the survival of his family depends on walking the delicate and thin line he walks.

Brief description of your characters history, including family:
Father - Lord Christopher Blake I; second oldest of four: Christopher II, Demetri, Lucas, Olivia
Demetri Blake was the 2nd son and child born to Lord Christopher Blake but it was though he was born invisible. So enamoured and doting on his older brother Christopher was their father, that Demetri was all but abandoned. Over the years came two more siblings, younger brother Lucas, and little sister Olivia. Once again their father doted on a child, this time it was Olivia. Lucas and Demetri bonded as they were the middle children and needed each other. Christopher shared with them and took care of them all. Demetri cherishes Olivia and from early on takes on the role of her protector.
Despite Lord Blake's demeanor toward he and Lucas, Demetri grew up happy. To the three younger Blake children, Christopher left them wanting for naught. The three boys were inseprable through their younger years and all took care of Olivia.
When he was 16 he realised that he had feelings not only for girls but for his male friends as well. He never told Christopher but he has quite the crush on his best friend Charlot. Demetri knew he couldn't reveal such feelings and kept them hidden. A few years later, he got a chance to travel to France to study and took it. Young and impressionable, Demetri thrived in Paris, soaking up the daily life of the student, studying everything he could. The next few years led him back to Paris, to Venice and Rome as well as Madrid, but always he returned home to London, for family was closest to his heart, and London would always be his home.
But Paris held another attraction for him. Demetri, though he tried not to, had fallen in love with one of his fellow students, Alexandre Pascal Clemenceau, the son of a Viscounte but working to change his country. He was magnanimous and charming and Demetri liked him instantly. It was he who opened Demetri's eyes and he could see similar things happening in England as well. He wanted to bring Alexandre home, to show him London but it was not safe as the turmoil grew in Paris and the dissention for the French aristocrats increased.
It was soon evident that a relationship with not only a man, but a Frenchman as well, was dangerous. And the two had to think about their roles and where their loyatlies lie. But before they could figure things out, the decision was made for them, sort of. Just under a year before Demetri's father died, he was approached by man. Not a nice one at that, who had detailed accounts of his and Alexandre's 'liasons' as he put it. From his dress and mannerisms, Demetri figured he worked for the government, in some capacity. He called himself Mr. Jones and he wanted to make the young Mr. Blake a deal: cut ties with Alexandre and use his position and friends to find out names of those helping bring the French into England or he would give the accounts to Lord Blake and perhaps even the newspapers.
Demetri didn't know what to do. He loved Alexandre but he also had his family to think about too. Sadly fate was against the two yhoung men as Alexandre went missing. He didn't know what to do but events and people made his decision. The next few months were full of intrigue and danger. The risk was still there, of being found out, but then Lord Blake died, and the threat was gone for the most part.
His reputation was still at risk. And he couldn't do that do his family so Demetri did what he had to. He became a spy amongst fellow Englishmen. But what almost everyone didn't know, was that he was working with the revolutionairies; he was in fact, one of the people he was supposed to be spying on. The only thing he regretted was that he needed to keep his family at arms length to keep them safe. He started questioning Christopher's behaviour and mentioning he should give up the title to him. It made it easier to do what he needed to do.
One or two plots which you would like to play out in the community: Dealing with the one blackmailing him; past or new relationships with either sex; being reunited with the Frenchboy; dealings with his brothers and sister, at some point they might find out what's happening at which time, they could work to become close again
