FULL NAME: Jack Alden Sloper
AGE/BIRTHDAY: 22 / b. Dec 1st, 1981
GENDER: Male
BIRTHPLACE: London
BLOOD: Pureblood
HOUSE/YEARS: Gryffindor 1992 - 1999
SPECIAL SKILLS: very good with animals and spells
CURRENT OCCUPATION: employed at The Village Pets
PAST OCCUPATION: Ministry of Magic - Magical Creatures

SEXUAL PREFERENCES: bisexual but leans towards girls because he's too nervous/afraid to act up on his feelings for the mates he does like

PERSONALITY: Jack is shy and nervous, which isn't helped any because he's just a klutz and tends to be clumsy as well. In school he was thought to be a dork and stupid but that wasn't the case at all. He was very athletic and smart, with an affinity for spells and dealing with animals. He wished he could keep his balance because he liked Quidditch too but that was a failed experiment. He doesn't mind being the reserve because Fred Weasley is back. Jack has an inner ear imbalance and try as he might, clumsy is what he is though as he's gotten older it's gotten better even if it doesn't change other people's opinions. He's over all happy and enjoys his life, but he tries to overcompensate for his failings which often comes across as nervousness. He's sweet and good-natured, would rather think the best about someone even if that is naviety at times. Jack is a good listener and a good friend as long as you don't play Quidditch with him. He has learned to joke about himself but there are times that it can become to much, an dthen he just likes to veg and be alone. He still wants to make a name for himself and be someone important and someone to be proud of as well. Jack worked very well with animals and specialises in the more exotic of magical animals. Sometimes he finds that dealing with animals is much easier than dealing with people, even then those people are his friends. Animals don't care if you fall over your feet or if you have a habit of hitting yourself in the head with various objects. Jack prides himself on a vast amount of research and notes on magical animals in hopes that they can be more understood by the magical world on whole.

FAMILY: Father - Nathan Sloper / Mother - Kathryn Sloper (nee Jones) / Friends with Terry Boot, Fred and George Weasley / has a crush on Jessica Rivers and Katie Bell but neither notice him and there are others who compete for their affections to seem to notice shy Jack Sloper / his feelings for some of this other friends remains unresolved as he is pretty sure that they don't like boys as well, someday maybe that will change

HISTORY: The Slopers were an old magical family and in 1981 they were blessed with an adorable baby with brown hair and green eyes. Jack knew all about magic and wizards from a very young age and it seemed that it was only time that he would received his letter to Hogwarts. Both of his parents told him their own stories of the adventures they'd had at the school and Jack was excited to start and make his own adventures. Also early on his parents discovered that Jack was well.... accident prone. Far too often he was getting magic remedies to fix or heal something or they were making trips to St Mungo's. They didn't pay it any mind and just atttributed it to him being young and had no doubt that he would grow out of it, in time. He was an only child but had many cousins he liked to play with, many of whom would be with him at Hogwarts at some point. They were often rowdy and boisterous as kids can be and Jack often was hurt and inflicted something on one of the others. Accidently of course.

At long last the letter came and Jack was off to Hogwarts.

Once at Hogwarts, Jack was quickly sorted into Gryffindor House. He seemed to fit in well with the rest although he never seemed to be as adventurous and daring as some of the others in the house. Jack didn't stand out in school but got by and did above average. He made friends but none were the closer than friends type so he focused on school, on making his parents happy and making sure post school, he would be able to have a very good career, whatever it was going to be.

During fourth and fifth year, even though flying wasn't his best attribute, he became the one of the new beaters for the house Quidditch team, once Fred and George Weasley left school. He spent more times in the infirmary than his dorm it seemed and if not him, someone who got to close to his awkward and clumsy limbs. He's pretty sure that Angelina Johnson will keep her distance for a good long while. It didn't last long and he was replaced. He missed the comraderie but it was probably safer for himself, and others, that he not be a team beater.

Jack was faithful to his friends and joined Dumbledore's Army mostly because he's spell casting was so strong. He did what he needed to help them, and when the fight came to Hogwarts, he was there as well, and was one of the lucky ones who survived. After he left school, Jack got a job at the Ministry of Magic, working in the Department of Magical Creatures.

PHYSICAL: Jack has short brown hair that is slightly naturally curly. He has green eyes and is a shade under 6 feet tall. As he's gotten older, he's stayed in good shape, working out regularly. He has his left ear pierced and always wears two hoops in it, and he has "Carpe Diem" tattooed on his right bicep. Jack dresses casually, usually favouring comfortable jeans and t-shirts, always with his constant worn and faded denim jacket.

Third person roleplaying Jack took care of the rest of the animals, getting their food to them, even talking to a few on occasion and then he was back to his desk. It was quiet in the store for the moment and no new customers had come in so he was taking some of that time to update his notes and add some more to his research. Terry was somewhere around here but he didn't see him right then. He could see the front of the store in case someone did come in and he settled into his chair and looked through his database.

There were notes about werewolves and centaurs, dragons and merfolk. Nothing that seemed to show up around here as of yet but who knew what could happen. After all, they were HERE rather than home. He just hoped that when they did get back home, he would get the chance to keep all the work he'd done. That was why he kept everything charmed and magically stored. That way, once back, he could access it all and hopefully the Ministry could use the work he'd done.

Before he knew it far too long had passed for Jack and it was well after lunch. He saved his work and wandered back for something to eat. He had rushed that morning to get lunch together. Jack wasn't the best cook but there were a few things he could put together well and quickly. A good ham and cheese sandwich was one of those. He knew he should probably eat more so he didn't become too skinny but as he told his friends before, Jack liked his sweets too much and while he couldn't survive on them, he did like his fair share of them, especially chocoballs and licorice whips.

Jack had eaten half his sandwich when he heard something out front and looked up to see what it was.

First Person roleplaying: As I suspected, I'm getting sick too. Most of the others are off to the Healer's to be checked as well. Don't know how it happened but I just want it to stop. The sickness. The nightmares. I don't have nightmares unless they revolve around a lack of rum supply. But I digress. I should to go myself. I did tell Ernie and Miles I would. And I will.

Eventually.

I'd rather be shagging or watching Quidditch or doing research rather than be at the hospital so you'll forgive me for not rushing right over. I should never be in bed and having this much lacking in the way of fun. Okay that's a bit bragging too much, even for me.

I keep dreaming about gryphons and dragons, it must be the fever or sickness or, hell I don't even know. I've worked with dragons exactly twice in my life and even then it wasn't a long time. I doubt they have dragons here so there's no reason to think about it. I have some research in the database but it's like two pages. I have no idea in the least. And yes I do know that crazy talk but it's the truth.

I hope everyone else is fairing better than that and staying out of trouble. Remember, I DO work with some mean animals....

Plot Ideas?: just to get him involved and messing up situations because of his clumsy, klutziness; perhaps leaning to deal with that, getting more confidence etc., have fun.

Where did you hear from us? Ivan. Because he's evil :)

.
