Tiramisu for breakfast = delightfully decadent.
About to leave to deposit the check from my grandparents, mail out a thank-you card to them, a bill, and a BookMoch book, and go on a WHole Foods spree. Expect blathering about delicious produce and fancy nibbles later today. |

And it's good I went out early, because by the time I got home it was already pretty roasty. Got the check deposited, got the mail sent, and it was off to Whole Foods.
They didn't have as much locally grown fruit as I'd hoped, and the only cherries were in big sealed packages. Boo. But I got local peaches, some blackberries, a pear, and some presliced canteloupe chunks (which I ate before I left the store, in the nice little sit-down area, with a strawberry lemonade). They didn't have any rose tea, but I got cardamom and brown sugar, a few bars of chocolate (one of them with lavender, in deference to i_am_an_hero, ha), assorted natural sodas, a thing of Dagoba Xocoatl cocoa mix, some chai concentrate, and some Turkish delight in assorted flavors from the in-store candymaker's counter. Yum. It's the first time I can think of since I moved to this place that I've bought enough at Whole Foods for it to be heavy.
I saw a neat mug with a built-in strainer for loose tea, too. Almost bought it, but didn't. Maybe another time. |
