So, after fortifying myself with a much-craved gyro, I went to Industrial Primitives and talked to Rick about my scarification. I showed him the design, and he said it would work equally well as a cutting or a brand, and that the cost and healing times would be about the same. So I went with the cutting, and I asked him about aftercare and if I could have someone with me (yes). I set up the appointment (3 pm on October 6th) and left a deposit.
I'm nervous as hell but super excited too.
Then I hit Hancock Plaza. In Twin Liquors, I was the recipient of outrageous flattery ("You can't be more than 23!"). In PetCo, I found out that the Furminator is $10 cheaper on Amazon. In the Halloween store, I failed to find a scythe. In HEB, I got good juice and the toothbrush I will need to scrub my cutting during healing so it will scar well.
A productive afternoon, I think. |

So, thanks to some bopping around on Wikipedia, I have discovered Shintaro Kago. Bizarre, surreal and absurdist, grotesque and explicitly sexual.
I... I think I'm hooked.
So, for you, my flist, here is Lord of the Ring. It is a sort of LotR parody. Sort of in the sense that it involves sumo wrestlers with sex battle techniques.
"Sauron underwent some serious training to fortify his nipples!"
I'm not even kidding. |

Thanks to hcolleen, I have the late 80s PBS production of the Flying Karamazov Brothers doing A COMEDY OF ERRORS on DVD. Thanks to myself, I have a bottle of Amarula Cream.
Wacky Shakespearian antics and a glass of milk with a splash of delicious cream liqueur make for a lovely relaxing end to a day. |
