Finishing off with a bang... another good mail day! This time with...

My cat calendar! I was very relieved to see this arrive, because it was a profits-for-charity thing and it'd feel rotten to complain about not recieving it.

A book I mooched! It was coming from Israel so I didn't expect it yet. Ha ha, I got a package from Israel on Hanukkah!

Goodies from a [info]sinandsalvation fairy! Only one of the imps was one I'd even sniffed, and there were three goodies from e-tailers I hadn't even tried before! I think I may need to get a bottle of Cobalt Blends' Rehab.

And the big joy I've been eagerly awaiting... Yules from Conjure Oils!

See, when [info]apocalypso23 announced her design-a-scent-for-Yule contest, [info]rehd_fawx and I started musing in chat over what might work, and at the same time we independently thought of doing a Little Match Girl scent. Total fate for us to work on one together! We discussed what it might smell like, and while she worked on a gorgeous bit of Little Match Girl art, I re-read the Hans Christian Andersen tale to narrow down notes that would have an actual link to the story. I suggested a blend to her, she showed her artwork to me, we decided we had a worthy submission.

Obviously [info]apocalypso23 agreed; Little Match Girl was one of the winning blends! How awesome is that?

And now I have the selection of Yule bottles that is my prize. I especially like Flannel Pajamas; all of you foodie-lovers should snag some before it goes away! And dang but [info]rehd_fawx's art looks great on a bottle label. It was a lot of fun working as a team.

...this was a good meme, and well-timed. Good things have happened.

I just gave up and took the jewelry out of the piercing in my left eyebrow. It was migrating out and just getting more and more irritated. I fought the good fight with it but I suppose it is not meant to be.

OTOH, 11 years later and the piercing in my right eyebrow is going strong.
