CREATURE COMMANDOS [18 May 2011|10:42pm]
Cyborg
Cyborg is the functioning leader of the Creature Commandos. He was once a highly skilled assassin, until he was captured on a mission and "converted". His body was re-tooled into a super cyborg made of organic metal and nanobots. Cyborg is an expert in hand to hand combat with an array of mechanical weaponry (lasers, guns, blades) that he can unleash from his body. He has high-tech scanning and hacking technology built into his system, and also heals at an extremely accelerated rate, due to the nanotechnology used to build him. His strength is second only to Ogre. Cyborg is immune to telepathic abilities.

Poison Mist
Poison Mist is the second-in-command of the Creature Commandos. He has reptile-like features and the ability to produce a range of poisons and toxins in a variety of methods to use against his enemies. He is second only to Cyborg in martial arts, and is a master of concocting poison. Poison Mist also has the ability to camouflage himself.

Ogre
Ogre is the muscle of the Creature Commandos. He was modeled after the ogres of fantasy, and equals them in size and strength. It is extremely difficult to hurt Ogre, making him great for front line, direct assaults. He isn't called in for every mission, however, due to his hard to control temper.

Vampire
Vampire is, well, a vampire. He is relatively young, so he is not as powerful as many other vampires. Vampire is the most bloodthirsty of the group, and is also used for some specialty missions. He has the baseline powers and abilities as any other vampire. He is the most agile of the Creature Commandos.

Ghost
Ghost is a metahuman with the ability to phase through objects. She was drafted into the Creature Commandos for the sheer usefulness of her ability. Although she is not skilled in hand-to-hand combat, her power makes her a difficult opponent to fight. She cannot hit something while phasing through and object.

Alien
Alli En (Alien) was confiscated from a family of aliens when she was born. Her family was killed and she was raised in the government to use her abilities for them. She has the ability to communicate with insects and have them do her bidding. Alli is somewhat of a large insect herself, having some limbs like those of a preying mantis, as well as insect wings. She has somewhat enhanced physical capabilities, but is not a considerable close range combatant.

Freak
Freak is the result of a woman being drown in chemical waste. She was thought dead, but later emerged from the chemical waste with the power to change her body into various chemical compositions. She doesn't really talk, and generally stares people down to interact with them. She mostly communicates through sign language of notes. It is unknown if she is mute.

Sarah
Sarah was reborn from the dead with magic. Although she appears to be a teenager, she is actually over one hundred years old. To keep herself from looking like a corpse, she uses her ability to cast illusions to mask herself in an appearance of her choice. She is relatively weak, being sub-par to the rest of the team, and has no actual fighting experience. Sarah prefers to stay on the sidelines, and only gets directly involved if she is approached or feels she can beat somebody. Her illusions are very strong, making her a very tricky opponent.

Clifford the Big Red Dog was possibly his most favorite book of all time.  That is why he often ran around the neighborhood as a scarlet furred bloodhound.  In fact, that is why he was running around as a scarlet furred bloodhound today.  He was officially "too old" to read the book, but he read it everyday before going out for a run as his favorite dog.  Of course, he wasn't twenty-five feet tall.  He was at a healthy twenty three inches tall as he ran through freshly cut grass, occasionally barking at the neighborhood cats.  Not like they were scared or anything, though.  Cliff did the same routine everyday.  All the cats were used to it by now.

But, not all of the dogs were.  There were a few rambunctious little bastards that wanted a piece of Cliff every time he ran by.  He usually just sat outside of their fences or electric fences and taunted them.  Yeah, he was acting like kind of a douche to them.  But why shouldn't he?  They were always trying to chase him, and always saying they were gonna be his alpha.  And you know what?  Cliff knew exactly what that meant, and he wasn't ever going to let that happen.  Except, he didn't realize that some of those dogs were getting smarter.

Regular fences were not so effective anymore.  As Cliff ran farther down the neighborhood, he encountered a wall of five dogs.  They ranged from a black lab, to a golden retriever, to a basset hound, to a yorkshire terrier, to another bloodhound.  "Crap," Cliff whined.  The opposing dogs snarled and growled, and then rushed at him.  Cliff turned tail and ran away.  The other dogs were gaining on him fast, but he had a pretty healthy vitality and level of stamina.  After about a block, he assumed he lost them.  His butt stuck up high, and he strut his stuff in the direction of his house.

That was, of course, until the bloodhound, the black lab, and the golden retriever caught up.  Cliff was shocked, but this time he was more ready than ever.  Instead of running as a dog, he jumped up and flew away as a bird.

"Smarter than the average bird!"

Justice League International [20 Jan 2011|03:19pm]

The new generation of Creature Commandos is created by Project M and has gone rogue.  They wreak havoc across Europe and Asia, and have targeted Maxwell Industries along the way.  Maxwell Lord uses his resources to pull together an uncanny team of individuals to take care of the problem.

Once the team is drafted, Max briefs them on the situation and deploys his tentatively dubbed “Justice League International” to Asia, where the Creature Commandos are currently wreaking havoc and gaining massive media attention.  The two groups do battle, with the “JLI” claiming victory.  Apparently, their group name was leaked to the media, and they are broadcast around the world as the brand new Justice League International.

The concept sticks, and the members decide to commit to the team.

CHARACTER NAME: Clifford "Cliff" Baker
CHARACTER LJ:

[info]big_red_dog
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:  Green Eyes.  Blonde Hair.  Athletic Build.
AGE: 17
BIRTHDAY: January 4
CODENAME: Animal Boy
PB:  Ryan Gosling
ABILITIES:  Cliff is connected to the Morphogenic Field, otherwise known as the Red.

Immitation:  Cliff has an intuitive knowledge of Animal behaviors extending for his connection to the Red; it allows him to understand when animals are under stress, or simply when they are hungry, or unwell.

Understanding: Cliff’s connection to the Red also offers him a different view point – looking at the situation from the point of view of the Animal, or Animals involved. He can see the possibilities open for the Animals, as well as the limitations or the possible cruelty.

Communications: Cliff discovered that he is able to communicate with Animals on a level he was unaware of. He is able to openly converse with the Animals. This used in conjunction with his ability to control Animals gives Cliff a distinct edge on other heroes, as he can communicate directly with all animals down to the smallest protozoa.

Channeling: Cliff’s Physical attributes are linked directly to whatever Animal he is currently tapped into. He is able to reach directly into the life web and Morphogenetic field of the planet and take whatever Animal he can think of, or feel out for the situation. When channeling an animal Cliff is able to pick up more than one attribute of several different Animals.

Proportions: Cliff’s powers, particularly the channeling of particularly attributes is proportional. For example, taking a Flea’s abilities, Buddy is able to leap a great distance into the air, since the power set is scaled up from the size of the Flea. However, were Buddy to take on the attributes of a much larger Animal, for example an Elephant or a T-Rex, the powers are not scaled down because of his reduced size.

Shape-Shifting: Cliff can use the M-Field to completely reorganize his phenotypic make up.

Space-B: Cliff is able to access and use his Animal Powers to access a fragment of Space/Time called Space-B. In Space-B, space and time mean nothing, and instantaneous travel is possible.

Connections: There are other people in the world with Similar powers to Cliff, and being connected to the Red allows Cliff to “feel” where his fellow Animal Masters are.

Chimera:  Warping his channeling abilities and his morphing abilities Cliff can take a number of different Animal abilities and traits and meld them into one being – A Birds wings, Eagles Beak, Horns of an Antelope, strong muscular legs with reversed kneecaps, and powerful brown furred body with long talons on his hands.

Taming : Cliff is able to use his natural ability of calming Animals to tame them. Whilst with most normal humans it takes months to tame a wild animal, Cliff can do it in minutes by reaching into the Red and showing it has nothing to fear.

Mind Transferal: Cliff is able to transfer his mind, for a limited time, or a long time, into the form of an Animal. Provided that Cliff’s mind escapes into an Animal Vessel, he can live in that Animal for as long as that Animal’s natural life stretches, and transfer his mind from that Animal to other Animals.

Animal Control: Cliff can control the movements and actions of Animals, through both force and coercion. He cannot control an Animal to do something out of it’s behavioral set, for example, he cannot control a Dog to use a computer, or drive a car, but he is able to use the Dogs instincts and abilities to track a person, or to attack a person.

Intelligence : Cliff is able to see things from a slightly different view point, the point of view of the Animal. As a result of this he is able to put into practice the intelligence of whatever animal he is tapping into, its experiences, and its perception of the world.

Longevity: As an Animal Master Cliff has natural longevity.

Red Projection: In times of great stress or need Cliff is able to warp the stuff of the Red and produce an energy blast. Nothing particularly powerful, with a lower concussive effect, but it’s an energy blast nonetheless.

Shielding: Cliff can avoid reality warping mechanisms by pulling his body from this universe and into the Red. Since the Red operates on a different plane of existence Cliff is less likely to be effected by Reality Warping powers, or weapons, but he will still feel the effects.

WEAKNESSES/FLAWS:  Cliff does not have the ability to access the universal Red, like his father, so he is limited to only accessing the M-Field of the planet he is living on.  Cliff can only use his shape-shifting ability sparingly, as it takes up far too much energy to use on a regular basis.
CHARACTER LOCATION: California
ALIGNMENT:  Hero
TEAM:  JLI
RELATIVES:  Buddy Baker (Father), Ellen Baker (Mother), Maxine Baker (Sister)
HISTORY:  Clifford Baker is the teenage son of Ellen and Buddy Baker.  He initially inherited his father's abilities, but later lost them.  After some time of being de-powered, Cliff was run over by a car and killed.  The Aliens that once granted life and power to Buddy took Cliff into Space-B and revived him.  He was granted with the same powers that his father had, and then returned to Earth years later without having aged a bit.  His return was a shock to his family, who had managed to move on, but Cliff was welcomed back with open arms.  After spending some time with his family, Cliff couldn't resist using his powers to help people.
