All of a sudden it had gotten really quiet in the house whereas it had been a bit noisy earlier, with new furniture and Avalon audibly giddy about it. Her own room had come pretty much already together--benefit of being the lone girl so she had gone straight there after school. But now it was just too quiet. "Are you all alive in here?" She didn't knock. She just walked right in. And stopped, blinking a bit.
