1) It had, in fact, started with a bet. Joey had been talking about how he'd love to go wild with the YJLA's Wonder Chick, and Lian had said their was no way in hell it would happen. Joey suggested that fifty bucks said he could. Knowing it was easy money for her, Lian rolled her eyes, sighed, and made the bet with him.
2) Joey vetoed several different plans (including one where he stood outside her window, with his boombox playing "Shook me all night long"), before he eventually decided on just asking her out during one of the next multi-team party. To his surprise, she said yes.
3) Joey kept it surprisingly clean, having her up to Stagg Manor for a five-course dinner and later looking at some of the Greek artifacts his grandfather had collected over the years. They talked, shared stories, and even laughed a little.
4) At the end of the date, he was pronounced "sweet" and "not at all like what the guys warned me about" and received a kiss on the cheek.
5) It was the best fifty bucks he ever lost. |
