1) Joe beat Misha to the punch of asking her out by about five minutes. And he swears he had nothing to do with super-gluing the door to Misha's room shut. Nothing at all.
2) He brought flowers when he picked her up, because that's just how things were done. (Fatherly advice: "Bring her flowers. Dames like flowers.")
3) It wasn't anything fancy, just dinner and a movie, but on the slightly more upscale end of things, proving that Joe could do it when the situation called for it.
4) To this day, neither one is actually sure how the movie ended, due to making out in the back row.
5) Not hard since they lived in the same place, but Joe made a point of seeing her the next day.

Kelly/Red - friendship
1) The two first met when the Guardians of the Galaxy traveled to Earth to hunt down a Dire Wraith in Symkaria.
2) When the Guardians, in typical super-hero fight fashion, squared off with the Wild Pack, Red and Kelly ended up fighting each other, each pulling increasingly bigger guns. Kelly was especially impressed with "Vera."
3) After the mission was over, Red and Kelly ended up showing off all their weapons to each other. They repairs needed to the shooting range were significant.
4) After being kicked out of the base for that, they decimated a rather significant portion of the countryside weapon-testing.
5) Red even let Kelly fire Vera. She declared it was almost better than sex.
1) Took place after an epic battle of the gods where the Skrull gods launched an attack on all the mortal pantheons, with a last stand being being made in Asgard.
2) Started off, innocently enough, with a backrub. Argo is very good with his hands.
3) Would be, both would admit later, more from being so hyped up from battle and the near death of the universe, that some kind of outlet was needed. That and lots and lots of mead.
4) Was followed by Svalin waking up and screaming the next morning.
5) Where it was agreed they never speak of it again. Well, Svalin agreed. Argo would later point out that he'd kept silent during that conversation, and therefore never technically agreed to anything...
1) It took several tries for Will to get "would you like to go out" out, and just about as many for Wendi to get "yes" out.
2) Did, at least, include a cross country flight where Wendi let Will carry her, and he spent the entire time too worried about where his hands were to enjoy it.
3) At the movie, Will almost completed the "pretend to yawn and stretch so I can put my arm around her shoulders" move several times.
4) Featured entirely too many times where they'd both just look at each other, blush, and look away.
5) Ended with what was possibly the world's most awkward kiss ever. Along with the promise of a second date.
Forgive the double post, but:
Michael/Alura Future!
1) Alura actually meets Will while trying to return home. It had been suggested that flying around the rock of Eternity the correct number of times would allow for time travel. This fails to work, and he offers to take her out for lunch as a consolation.
2) A friendship of sorts is struck up, with Will dropping by Metropolis more often.
3) Through it all, Alura is happy, but always seems rather guarded, never willing to say much.
4) She eventually decides to say screw destiny when Dr. Sivana, near death from cancer, revives Mr. Atom and sends him like a missile to Fawcett City. Alura tells will she knows that if he goes to stop it, he'll die.
5) Even armed with this knowledge... Will does the right thing. Alura is left to wonder if she could have changed anything at all.
1) It started, much as things did in another meme, with both reaching for a book on meditation techniques at the same time.
2) Deciding that Cassidy definitely needed to get out more, Rose invited him out to Coney Island, to "get him to loosen up."
3) Which turned out badly when Arcade trapped them in Murderworld, at the behest of Sinister.
4) During which time they both saved each other's lives.
5) Though nothing more ever became of it, it didn't stop Rose from referring to it as their "date" whenever possible, usually to a combination of annoyance and amusement.
1) Could be considered to have started when all the over twenty-one members of the team went out for drinks.
2) Which eventually left just Mikey and Cat, to stumble on home back to the Brownstone.
3) Which, with both of them fairly intoxicated, ended up with both of them in Cat's room, where she pulled Mikey down on top on her.
4) Which led to more things.
5) Which, after a massive hangover the next day, led to "So, you wanna try that sober, Mikey?"
You mean there is no option crack?
Dawn/Griffen children.
I can't think of crack.
1) A son, Thomas, was born first, followed two years later by a daughter, Alica.
2) Neither of whom, mercifully, seemed to have shown any signs of inheriting the semi-Asgardianness of their mother.
3) Both of whom, however, were equally versed in magic and science, something which began to show up when they were teenagers, with both eventually becoming techno-mages.
4) When Thomas was killed during Mephisto's attempts to bring hell to Earth, it placed tremendous strain on their marriage.
5) Alica would later fall in love with a dashing young prince from the Dark Dimension, and be instrumental into bringing peace to both realms.
VARON/ARGO - FRIENDS
THEY REFUSE TO LET ME TURN OFF CAPS-LOCK FOR THIS REQUEST
1) After a trip to Asgard, a slightly tipsy Argo found himself falling off the Rainbow bridge, where he landed on the DCNG Earth.
2) Drowning his sorrows over his lost love, he was still quite drunk when the Headship appeared over the city, and believed it to be the work of some master villain.
3) Varon and Argo battled for what seemed like hours, without either getting the upper hand.
4) Realizing they were far too evenly matched, the two instead turned to boasting over their accomplishments. This turned into more drinking and more swapping of stories.
5) And thus began one of the most OUTRAGEOUS! friendships of all time.

1) Was originally going to just be some cuddling, but went a bit farther than intended.
2) Rachel discovered that he tended to purr when he was, ah, really excited.
3)Was proof that telepaths can really know what turns you on in bed.
4)Left a great deal of purple-ish fur in her sheets.
5)Successfully answered the question of just how furry Torn-Ear is.
Joey/Corinna
Their first date
1) It had, in fact, started with a bet. Joey had been talking about how he'd love to go wild with the YJLA's Wonder Chick, and Lian had said their was no way in hell it would happen. Joey suggested that fifty bucks said he could. Knowing it was easy money for her, Lian rolled her eyes, sighed, and made the bet with him.
2) Joey vetoed several different plans (including one where he stood outside her window, with his boombox playing "Shook me all night long"), before he eventually decided on just asking her out during one of the next multi-team party. To his surprise, she said yes.
3) Joey kept it surprisingly clean, having her up to Stagg Manor for a five-course dinner and later looking at some of the Greek artifacts his grandfather had collected over the years. They talked, shared stories, and even laughed a little.
4) At the end of the date, he was pronounced "sweet" and "not at all like what the guys warned me about" and received a kiss on the cheek.
5) It was the best fifty bucks he ever lost.
Harmony/Argo possible kids
1) Argo and Harmony were, over the span of six years, blessed with three wonderful daughters. Daphne, Terra, and Celeste.
2) Strong like their father, beautiful like their mother, Argo doted upon them as babies and was threatening to potential boyfriends as they grew. Attempts by Harmony to get him to "relax" only worked upon occasion.
3) Argo made certain that they knew of Olympus, but did nothing in particular to try and devote their loyalty to it, instead trying to teach them to love and care for the mortal realm, the world of their mother.
4) Terra developed a supernatural singing voice, Celeste a godly skill with musical instruments, and Daphne skill in all the tongues and voices of the world.
5) Many decades later, when after a long and wonderful life, Harmony was laid to rest, Celeste followed her father into space to seek new adventures and to, perhaps, escape their sorrow. Terra remained upon Earth as its protector. And Daphne quietly continued to work in small places, the Peace Corps, Doctors without borders, and the like, to make the world a better place little by little.
1) Joey and Lian only had sex one time (and both were really drunk. It turns out the Thanagarian liquor he'd "acquired" actually worked on him.), but that was enough to conceive a girl named Opal ("Stagg family tradition for girls, boss.")
2) Who looks pretty much like the other metamorphic members of her family, but like her Aunt Emerald ("Aunt Em," as Joey insisted Opal call her, much to Emerald's displeasure), pulled it off in a cute monster girl sort of way.
3) Actually lives with Lian and family, but sees Joey often. He's not the world's best dad (and he knows it), but he tries hard to do the right thing here.
4) Loves to prank her older half-siblings.
5) Doesn't know anything about that burn mark on the wall, Granpa Roy, no siree, why I wasn't even in the room, it must have been aliens, why I was them flying out the window just as you got here.
1) Having inherited the Scarab, Dinah, out of a sense of obligation, spent a lot more time and here and there, looking out for El Paso, which lead to frequent team ups with Alina.
2) Which lead to a renewal of the friendship that had faded somewhat over the years, including telling all kinds of embarrassing stories about Jaime.
3) Which was later expanded into "girls' night out"s with Milagro.
4) Four years to the day Jaime had "died" during the "Blackest Night", they were finally able to track down the Black Beetle. With Riley's help with the time sphere, the three saw justice done. Make of that what you will.
5) Alina was one of Dinah's bridesmaids when she and Riley got married.
Victor/Hank Pym - Friendship
1) It actually took Hank quite a while to find out about Victor (who primarily came on the scene and to the Avengers attention while Hank was busy being a Skrull), but once he did, he wanted to do something, feeling somewhat responsible for the boy.
2) Due to the Runaways flying below the radar, it actually took a lot of effort to actually find him.
3) "So... you're kinda my Grandpa?"
"Yes."
*awkward silence*
4) Hank eventually took him fishing. This too, was incredibly awkward. When a lake monster showed up, it was actually a relief.
5) Now, Hank gets "Grandpa" cards on the holidays.
Crack time!
Red/Eliza First date
1) With Iason off doing something cosmic, Eliza was feeling kinda lonely, and asked Red to show her around Knowhere Station. Red happily agreed. 2) Checking to see if Alex or Azura wanted to come, led to running away very quickly. 3) At one of the station's bars, Eliza had to bodily pick Red up and carry him off before he assaulted a very burly Kree who almost stepped on his tail. 4) Red later took Eliza up to the astrophysics lab, where his friend Sprigg (SON OF GROOT) worked, and showed her the wonders the universe. 5) Later, Red fell asleep to head scritches, his back legs occasionally twitching like he was chasing something.
1) The two first met when Steve came down to the T-Bolts HQ to see Anya, passing civilly if not memorably, until both found themselves in the training room at the same time, taking in some archery practice.
2) Which very quickly led to posturing over who was the better shot.
3) Steve graciously volunteered to dial back his arm to ordinary human strength levels, and the two got into an archery contest rather quickly. Which was basically the "split his arrow in twain" moment from Robin Hood stories, over and over and over and over and over.
4) For three hours. It only stopped when they ran out of arrows.
5) Which was followed by drinks and a friendly rivalry that continued any time they were both in the same place.
1) Born little more than nine months after the wedding (the result of a whirlwind courtship that some said followed far too closely to Misha and Lyta's break-up), Charlotte "Charlie" Worthington-Marko appeared, to all tests, both scientific and mystic, to be one hundred percent human.
2) Which proved to be a one-hundred percent accurate prediction.
3) Never actually an X-Men, Charlotte still spent lots of time around the mansion growing up.
4) And did somehow managed to get dragged along on a few missions here and there, where she showed she more than knew how to take care of herself.
5) Combining her dad's love of building things and her mom's thinking big, Charlie plans to be an architect some day.
1) Even before his reformed ways, Argo would have been wary, if not outright opposed, to the dating of his brother's girlfriend. He does have some standards, after all. But after Andy's death (or rather, Titan's, though it amounted to the same thing in the end), Argo's despondency destroyed his own relationship. Jenny and Argo found some comfort in each other.
2) It was, originally, just supposed to have been getting out, getting their minds on other things, but during dinner, there was an undeniable sense of attraction.
3) Which, when he took her home, turned into a doorstep kiss.
4) That very nearly turned into something much more.
5) If Argo hadn't broken it off, saying that it wasn't right, wasn't fair to the memory of his brother. They remained in contact, after, remained friends of a sort, but romance was never spoken of again.
Sammy/Joe possible children
1) Charles "Charlie" Nicholas Marko, an only child, and his parent's pride and joy.
2) Who possesses the power to become invulnerable... for sixty second stretches.
3) Knew how to handle guns and knives way before his father was comfortable with the idea.
4) Looks forward to being the third Fury to run SHIELD some day.
5) Is keeping very good notes. Just in case.

3) was later described by Stevie as "not as good as Bill... but not too shabby either."
4) For "not too shabby", they managed to do it several times that night.
5) Unfortunately, both were caught coming out of Ryan's bedroom in the mansion by several of their teammates. Steve and Charlie did not soon let Ryan forget this.

Michael/Alura Children!
1) Karen "Kara" Choi, a half human, quarter Kryptonian, quarter Culuan hybrid.
2) Was kidnapped by Vril Dox (the original Brainiac) shortly after her first birthday.
3) Though her parents and the other heroes of Earth and space searched for her, she was nowhere to be found.
4) Until a "Brainiac 7" arrived on Earth to kill Jon Kent and was revealed to be Kara, artificially aged and altered by Brainiac's science. She was eventually freed from his control...
5) But not before banishing Alura back to the 30th century.
1) After Eliza returned to Earth without Iason, when she was ready to get back out there, Lyta introduced her to Joe.
2) Not that he wouldn't have anyway, but Lyta threatened to tell embarrassing childhood stories about him if he wasn't on his best behavior. He was on time, well-groomed, and brought flowers.
3) Nothing fancy, just burgers and shakes, and then walking around town, but pretty dang nice too.
4) The muggers? Didn't stand a chance.
5) Were both independently grilled by Lyta afterward for how it went. Both were looking forward to date number 2.
1) Dinah had grown from finding Pippi annoying the hell out of her, to tolerating her, to just being gobsmacked by her, to genuinely liking her over the course of some time already, but didn't actually grow to truly consider her a friend until she asked Pippi to help her get ready for her Prom date with Riley.
2) Protecting Pippi (and Mitzi too) from the combined forces of the Raiderettes and Mad Moms further helped to cement this friendship.
3) Though it was put to the test pretty heavily when the two were stuck on a deserted island for three months, without their powers, when Riley accidentally caused a time sphere accident. Dinah shamefully admits she occasionally had thoughts about beating Pippi over the head with a coconut until the chatter stopped.
4) A few years down the line, Dinah asked Pippi to be her wedding planner. It actually worked out pretty well.
5) After the incident at the zoo ("I talked the polar bear back into his cage afterward!"), Pippi was not allowed to watch Cameron (Dinah and Riley's daughter) unsupervised again. | |
