The Pack

Based out of Zandia, the Pack are some of the most dangerous mercenaries the world has ever seen.  Originally all independent operators (except for Jackal and Hyena), they were brought together for a specific mission several years ago, and decided they could be much more profitable if they worked together.  The accomplished several missions and were eventually hired by Intergang to deal with Superman.

Their initial outing, even with Intergang weapons, proved to be a spectacular failure.  Following, Intergang sprung them from prison and outfitted them with upgrades that included power armor, genetic engineering, and cybernetics.  While they still failed to be a match for Superman, they continued their criminal careers.  Even without their upgrades and powers, each member of the Pack is a deadly fighter and killer, skilled in various fighting techniques and weapon-usage.

Coyote

The leader of the Pack is really wealthy industrialist David Riker, who at the age of thirty, tired of the life of an inherited ownership of a company and inherited wealth.  He sought thrills and turned to big game hunting and during one such hunt, he accidentally killed a member of his hunting party.  On that day, a lust for blood was born.  People were paid off and the incident was forgotten.  A few months later, he entered the mercenary scene.

Brilliant, cunning, and devious, Coyote is responsible for planning all of the team’s missions.  He is extraordinarily good at figuring out all the angles and has a plan ready no matter what goes wrong.

Weapons: Coyote wears a suit of power armor which emphasizes speed and agility over strength.  It possesses razor sharp claws, lasers built into the gauntlets, and a vertigo-effect inducing beam.

Fox

Janine Renard is the daughter of industrialist Halcyon Renard, one of the most trusted and respected men in his industry.  Though she enjoyed the life of privilege her father’s wealth afforded her, she had no interest in strong moral principles such as integrity and responsibility, preferring a life of excitement and scheming. She met David Riker early on and fell in love with him; later on, she joined the Pack when Riker set it up, becoming its second-in-command.

Powers: Fox possesses the ability to transform into a monstrous were-fox, with incredible strength, speed, agility, and senses, but no ability to speak.  In either form, the fox-head tattoo over her eye remains.

Dingo

Originally from Australia, Harry Monmouth to Mariah Monmouth, a poor, single mother. As a young boy, he came home from school one day to discover that his free-spirited mother was gone. He was greeted by John Oldcastle at his home, who informed Harry that Mariah had run off again, when in fact he had murdered her. Oldcastle raised Harry and taught him to be a thief. Harry was part of Oldcastle's gang, working over the years with Oldcastle and his accomplice, Pistol. Eventually, Harry moved on and became a mercenary.

Though decidedly a criminal, Dingo is the least “bad” of the Pack and tries to eliminate collateral damage and tries to make certain his targets do not suffer.

Weapons: Dingo wears a suit of power armor, heavier than the one used by Coyote and focusing more on strength and firepower.  It has boot jets for flight, sensors, enhanced strength, and numerous weapons systems.

Wolf

Eric Hakonson, an American of Scandinavian descent, and former professional wrestler who was kicked out of the sport for bloodlust.  He turned to mercenary work after that, and took great delight in not only killing people, but doing it bare-handed whenever possible.  So long as the Pack keeps him in money for beer and prostitutes, he’d happy to take orders.  He’s not especially liked by the others, but he doesn’t like them much either.  Dingo, especially, is repulsed and a little frightened by Wolf.  Since his upgrades, it is even believed he has become cannibalistic.

Powers: Wolf was genetically engineered into a man-wolf hybrid, and unlike Fox, he cannot resume his normal human form.  He possesses great strength and agility, claws, and enhanced senses.  He can also increase his power, becoming more monstrously wolf-like in the process, but at a proportionate increase of loss of intelligence.

Jackal and Hyena

Rex and Olive Gates are siblings who were originally recruited by the CIA while in college.  They took what they learned from the CIA and disappeared, reappearing later as mercenaries.  While brother and sister, the two could not be more different.  Jackal is cold and fussy, with a strange fixation on death, while Hyena is fiery and passionate and more than a little kinky, as well as taking delight in torture.  When the opportunity for upgrades occurred, the two opted to become cyborgs, replacing most of their body with cybernetics.  The two are also… unusually close, for siblings.

Powers: Jackal’s cybernetics include a mechanical eye, enhanced strength, razor sharp claws (which can also be fired as missiles), and enhanced speed.

Hyena’s cybernetics included extendable limbs, claws, palm lasers, and enhanced speed.

The two are always making upgrades to their cybernetics.
