I have decided to meta 1:22 'Landslide', for no very good reason. ^^

...My God, Nathan has a square head.
I'm quite glad that I've been telling Peter all along to stay the heck away from Ted, because if I hadn't, I'd be feeling so stupid right now. I tell myself that I just prefer not to spoil surprises, but in reality I just don't work things out because I'm very, very slow. But I caught this. So anyway.
Wow, they all seem so worried about Peter losing control of Ted's power. (/sarcasm) Whenever I replay this scene in my head, they have so much more emotion, and they're moving about trying to do something to help -- not kind of standing and staring. Why does this episode have to begin so flatly? I hope no-one tried to start the series here and got put off.
But once Peter's done with the "shoot me... no, wait don't", the camera cuts to... SADFACE!HIRO, who makes me want to hug him! Though to be honest, everything Hiro does makes me want to hug him, so...
Hiro and Ando don't seem too bothered by the fact that MYSTERY SOCK'S DECAPITATED BODY is leaking all over the floor right behind them. Just sayin'.
I love how Hiro was the one who persuaded Ando to come on this quest, and now Ando's returning the favour by giving Hiro support when he's down and not letting him give up. Hiro is dejected and inconsolable, and so Ando comforts him with the Yellow Pages! Which 2% of people use for swatting flies, apparently. Ando, though, outsmarts us all by opening it and looking at all the little numbers instead. He is clearly the brains of this outfit.
"The fate of the world is in your hands-uh." Wait, isn't the 'save the world' stuff what scared off Mystery Sock all those times? Or-- oh, wait, the fact that Hiro was speaking Japanese might've had something to do with it. Moving on.
Back to the funny red helix steps! :D Do they actually exist in New York? 'Cause they're pretty cool.
Ted: "I should turn around and go back because of a painting you saw?"
Peter: "Yeah. And a dream."
Going in for the hard sell there, is our Peter.
How? How is Claire meant to stop both Peter and Ted from going into meltdown? Before, it was one injured guy and she had a jab full of tranquillizers to give him. Somehow, I think Customs would ask questions if she tried to fly a bunch of sharp pointies and knockout drugs out to this Windy Fork place. (Heh. 'Windy Fork'. Maybe I've just spent too much time reading slashfic, but that sounds like it should be an aphorism for something.)
I would just like to glomp the director here, for the simple reason of that pull-back from Our Heroes to Sylar. Yes, the pull-back. It's an awesome pull-back. It gives me chills. Why do you look at me that way? It's my fangirl instinct, I can apply it to whatever I want.
Nathan still has a square head.
Linderman: "I never listen to polls. Not when I have a Superkid of Doom to rig the vote, muahaha!"
I get the feeling Nathan didn't like the reference to his father. His face was all "don't you talk about my dad, bitch". And... oh, forget it, just kill Linderman already. I was interested in him as a shadowy, mysterious figure, but I don't really like this pie-making Santa Claus guy. Annoyingly enough, I can't put my finger on why.
...Yeah, Nathan definitely doesn't like his father being badmouthed. Hit him, Petrelli, hit him!
Heidi doesn't like Linderman either. "Oh. I didn't know *you* were here." Hah. But she can walk again now, so yay. Lots of emotion and happy! Next!
Claire: "Can't we just *fly* to Nebraska?"
Peter: *Looks*
Claire: "...In a plane?"
I love Claire's actor's delivery of that line. Cracks me up. xD
Ted: "...Who's Sylar?"
I also love how Ted doesn't have the foggiest what's going on. It's like, we as an audience are so invested in Sylar as the Big Bad that we expect all the protagonists to have heard of him at least. But in fact, like we heard back in episode 2, the name Sylar is classified and only a handful of people (though granted, it's a very big hand now) have heard it. So... yeah, I just like that. Reality! :D Don't worry, Ted, you'll find out who he is soon enough.
HE IS THE MAN RIGHT THERE EATING ICE-CREAM. *Rewind, rewatch, repeat*
I love that he's eating ice-cream! It's a little casual touch that makes him that much more awesome. Also, it shows that he eats his dessert before his dinner, which I think we can all get behind.
Yeah, still square.
Nathan is so in love with Hiro. He's all "Who is this crazy guy bothering-- HEY IT'S HIRO! Happyface!"
Nathan: "Bad future?"
Ando: "Yes, we went there! But I was already dead!"
...Yeah, don't try to confuse him or anything.
When Nathan leaned towards Hiro, IT TOTALLY LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE ABOUT TO KISS. TRUEFACT. You could tell he wanted to.
You bastard, Nathan. You made Hiro sadface again, like a kicked puppy. :(
Jessicki and DL are off to kick some pie-baking Santa Claus butt! Yeehaa!
I totally love the sword shop. Because really, how can you dislike a place where they have so many blades? I bet they have Sting. And they're secretly the ones who reforged Anduril. For true. Anyway, Ando is distracted from the shiny pretty by the bigass Godsend sign hanging in the back of the store: if he thinks that's weird, it'd blow his mind to see Jessica's back, or the map, or the crime scene photos at the Walker household. (FROZEN DINNERS!)

...Why does Mr Claremont look so goshdarn familiar?
No, really. I think he looks like Aragorn, only about a billion years old when taking into account the Dúnedan ageing rate.
And then Hiro's dad turns up again and I go WTFyay! Because it means we get awesome Avatar-style music again and that makes me happy.
Hiro: "Father! I thought you went home to Japan!"
Daddy: "I remained here."
...I hadn't noticed. :P
And here we have further confirmation that Hiro Is Awesome (did we need any more?). Because not only is he geeky and squishy and cheerful and going to Save The World, but he has a strong sense of honour and responsibility and family. Which has been shown copious times before, but hey, I'm going to point it out here.
Micah and Candace bond for a bit, through the power of chips and comic books.
And then it's back to Our Heroes, discussing everyone's favourite psycho killer! :D
Claire: "He rips your head open."
Me: "Braaaaaains!"
...And Ted's arrested, by Audrey nonetheless, and I wonder who on earth could have tipped off the police? Could it be Sylar, posing as the late great Mystery Sock? (For a guy who wants to be special, he sure spends a lot of time pretending to be other people.) He's just great and I'm totally having flashbacks to that comic, you know, where she chased him and he gave the old guy his coat? Yeah, that one. I wonder what he'd do if she recognised him?
Audrey: "Okay-- wait a minute, Isaac Mendez is dead! And I know you!"
Sylar: "Ohshit-- uh-- look over there!"
Audrey: "What?" *looks*
Sylar: *runsawayterriblyfast* "Damn, I'm good."
Sylar: "I'm not 'most people'."
...I dunno, I just like that line. And, heck, where'd he go? Can he fly? Teleport? What?
But, yeah, Sylar goes off to tastybrain Ted, leaving Audrey all "waitwhat?".
