In total, he has stolen about £50 from my purse, and it has got so bad that I've had to give it to mum to hide. He steals my notebooks and tears them, scribbles in them, throws my stories away and ruins them. He steals toys, and other small things that you'd think wouldn't matter but which add up.
He's my little brother. Me and mum both know he does this -- mum's actually said herself that he's the only one who could be doing it -- but as she's never seen him doing it, she won't punish him. I haven't seen him take money, but here is the evidence: notes and one- and two-pound coins go missing, and the exact same amount in the exact same coins and notes turn up in his wallet. Co-oincidence?
I don't know what to do about it. He denies stealing anything, even when we find my stuff in his room -- for example, my notebooks. I wrote my name in all of them, but he just scribbles it out and writes his own before ripping out all the pages I've written or drawn on and generally ruining them. I don't know what to do... Is there anything I own that he wouldn't steal? |
