I wrote a statement. I don't care if it's misspelled or doesn't make any sense; I wasn't going to ask Reed to look it over for me. I hope I don't have to go to the hearing. I hope it doesn't get read out. I'd just like-- would it really be so much to ask for Vic to have an attack of conscience and plead guilty so I don't have to go through this?
Reed is taking care of me, but I can see that he's thinking about it all. There's a giant elephant in the room that neither one of us wishes to acknowledge and I hate it for being there. I'm afraid he doesn't love me any more. I'm some damaged, useless cargo he just can't bring himself to toss overboard.
I hate all of this. |

I suppose I should feel bad that Faust is angry with me. But really, he's too funny when he's trying to be all badass and disrespectful. I know he wants me to take offense, but it's all I can do not to laugh at his fluffy little rebel act (and that would go over so well).

Still no news. I've heard it said that no news is good news, but really I'd just like to hear something. Even if it's bad news, is that terrible of me? This not knowing is awful. I know I get so ridiculously jealous sometimes, but if I were to find out tomorrow that he's just been shacked up with some bitch girl the past few weeks, it'd be a relief; just to know nothing's wrong.
I'm so freaked out about the undeliverable mail. I've wracked my brain over and over again, and apart from... I'm not even going to say it. It's just... what could it be? Maybe if he's hiding out, or something, and his location is spellbound? That could stop the mail. But someone would have to know where he was to spellbind the secret, and if he didn't tell me or Aiden then who on Aylasia would he have told? Reed didn't seem too worried about it, which is a sort of comfort. They're such a close family; if he didn't think it was something to have a panic fit over then it can't be as awful as I'm making it out to be.
He was pretty wonderful okay to be around today. A calming influence, I guess. Didn't try it on or anything. I'm... I wouldn't say I feel better about the situation, but I don't feel worse. It was nice to have someone there for me.
It felt comfortable. Natural. That's... emotionally conflicting. |

Arrrrrrgh. I suppose I should just be grateful my name didn't actually get into the article. But still; that woman is EVERYWHERE. I'm starting to think that if you pick your nose anywhere in Aylasia, she'll know about it. SHE'LL KNOW. And she'll have exclusive mage-eye footage of it, an interview with the mucus-y remnants, and a follow-up story about the best fingernail shape to acheive similar results.
I'm so worried. I tried to mail Victor and it came back 'undeliverable'. What does that even mean?! |

I've taken a week off work to go to Isla Partei. It's so weird to be going alone; but Lily seems to think it'll be good for me. Huh, who knew I'd ever be taking her advice?
It's another good thing about working with Uncle Puck; I can up and run away at a second's notice and there's still someone to cover my classes. I've left Faust with mom and dad-- he's going to be such a fatty when I come back, but at least I know mom will take care of him (even if she does go overboard with feeding him, still). I didn't tell them where I was going, mom hates the idea that any of her babies would go to such a... what was it that she said? Something about the very idea of a place devoted solely to debauchery and hedonism being a nightmare.

What the hell is wrong with Victor?! He KNOWS I like him and he STILL goes and does stupid things that he knows are just going to annoy me because... ARRRRRGH.
The whole kidnapping me and taking me out for 'fun' thing is fine but WHAT THE HELL. He kissed me this morning. YOU DON'T DO THAT TO PEOPLE. I mean, sure it was nice and all and oh fuck where does he get off smelling that good first thing after waking up but FUCK. It's just CRUEL. Horrible way to make fun of someone you know's a complete idiot for you.

Appearance: Marlowe has long dark hair like her mother's; cutting it at any time in any way just results in it growing back when she's asleep. She also picked up her mother's slight frame and average height. Her eyes are a very intense green, and her sister Lily torments her mercilessly by telling her she looks more like 'uncle' Miles than their father.
Personality: Like most weavers, Marlowe can be quite shy and self-contained. However, Marlowe's parents knew this was a possibilty and made sure to have her out and about and participating in as many childhood activities as possible. It worked, and even though she can still be shy sometimes, she's very well-adjusted. She discovered early on that she had control over all of the elements, not just water like had been thought.
Strengths: Marlowe excelled at study, and decided to keep up with it, becoming a scholar at Salem Academy and teaching elemental magic to students.
Weaknesses: She's been good friends with Victor Graves since childhood, and has yet to learn how to say no when he wants to involve her in one of his silly stunts. There have been some interesting conversations in the family regarding his influence on her.
Secrets: She can't remember when it started, but she had a massive crush on Victor. He indicated that he felt similarly before disappearing.
Biography: Marlowe is the youngest daughter of Morgan and Titus, and the third child in the family (coming after Juno and Lily, but before Liam). All of her siblings have light-coloured hair and eyes, like their father, but Marlowe has her mother's dark hair and eyes. Some people have commented that she resembles her mother's friend Miles more than Titus, but Morgan has assured her that it is only rumor, and Marlowe believes her. Despite this, she is close to her 'uncle' Miles and is his favourite of the siblings.
After Victor's disappearance, Marlowe found herself developing a close relationship with his brother Reed which blossomed into romance. Their relationship is still in fragile stages, and Victor's sudden reappearance is sure to be a problem. |

Magical abilities: Illusion, healing (weak), fortuna (always seems to know where there's going to be a scene and how to get herself in the middle of it).
Appearance: Lily took after Titus in the looks department, inheriting his tall stature, pale green eyes and lighter-colored hair (which she keeps blonde, as is only fitting for Aylasia's premier party girl).
Personality: She's basically Aylasia's Paris Hilton. Her occupation is being at every party, and every event no matter how minor, causing a scene and stealing the spotlight. She has the emotional range of a thumbtack, and has never had a meaningful relationship (it would get in the way of her sex life). To put it bluntly, she's a manipulative bitch, even to her friends and siblings. But if dear old mom and dad are ever likely to hear about what she's up to, she can play the part of a sweet little angel just perfectly.
Strengths: Emotion never clouds her judgment, because she's so cold-hearted. On the bright side though, it means she's always clear-headed-- although, it doesn't always follow that she'll obey the laws of logic.
Weaknesses: Lily needs constant validation that she's still attractive, still relevant, still one of the social elite. This of course, means that she'll jump into bed with anyone who'll reinforce that in her mind.
Secrets: Are to be found out and used against people.
